Redragon K725GBP-RGB-PRO GLINTSTONE PRO is a compact mechanical keyboard with a numeric keypad, screen, multifunction knob, and three connection modes: USB-C, 2.4 GHz, and Bluetooth. A separate Redragon system driver does not need to be installed for normal text input: Windows automatically uses standard HID drivers.
Redragon Software is required for additional functions: remapping supported keys, creating macros, advanced RGB configuration, and working with the screen.
Part 1. Installing and connecting Redragon K725GBP-RGB-PRO
Is a separate driver required?
No. A special Redragon system driver is not required for basic keyboard operation.
- Connect the keyboard via USB-C.
- Wait a few seconds.
- Windows will automatically detect the standard HID device.
- Open any text editor.
- Check letters, numbers, Space, Enter, and Backspace.
If the keyboard types normally, the standard HID driver is already installed.
There is no need to look for a universal “K725GBP driver” or use third-party automatic driver installation programs.
Which software to install
Two official names are used for the same software package for K725GBP-RGB-PRO:
Redragon_K725GBP-RGB-PRO_Setup_v2.0_20250221_V1.exe
and:
Redragon_K725GBP-RGB-PRO_Software.exe
Testing showed that these two files are completely identical: their size, SHA-256 hash, and byte-for-byte contents match.
| File name | What it is |
|---|---|
Redragon_K725GBP-RGB-PRO_Setup_v2.0_20250221_V1.exe |
Official v2.0 installer with the date 21.02.2025 in the file name. |
Redragon_K725GBP-RGB-PRO_Software.exe |
The same software package under a shorter name. |
There is no need to install both versions one after the other.
This package is also byte-for-byte identical to the tested software for some other K725 variants. Despite this, for K725GBP it is recommended to download the software specifically from the K725GBP entry on the official website.
Where to download the software
Use the official Redragon software catalog:
Find K725GBP-RGB-PRO Gaming Keyboard in the list.
A separate download page is also available:
Redragon K725GBP-RGB-PRO Gaming Keyboard
Windows displays a warning when starting the EXE
The tested v2.0 installer does not contain a standard embedded Authenticode signature. Therefore, Windows or security software may display an additional warning.
Do not disable Microsoft Defender, SmartScreen, or your antivirus just to install the software.
Before starting, make sure that:
- the file was downloaded from the official Redragon website;
- the K725GBP-RGB-PRO model is specifically selected;
- the EXE was not obtained from an unknown website;
- firmware from another K725 is not being used instead of the configuration software.
Three connection modes
| Mode | Use | Redragon Software |
|---|---|---|
| USB-C | Wired operation, charging, and diagnostics. | Yes |
| 2.4 GHz | Wireless connection through the included USB receiver. | Yes |
| Bluetooth | Wireless connection without a USB receiver. | No — switch to USB or 2.4 GHz for configuration. |
Connecting via USB-C
- Move the side switch to OFF.
- Connect the USB-C cable to the keyboard.
- Connect the other end directly to the computer.
- Wait for Windows to detect the device.
- Check text input.
Wired mode is best for the initial Software installation, screen configuration, and diagnostics.
Connecting via 2.4 GHz
- Move the switch to 2.4G.
- Connect the included USB receiver.
- Wait a few seconds.
- Check text input.
If the keyboard and receiver are already paired, the connection is established automatically.
Re-pairing 2.4 GHz
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Disconnect the USB receiver from the computer. |
| 2 | Select 2.4 GHz mode. |
| 3 | Hold Fn + 4 for about 3 seconds. |

| 5 | Connect the included USB receiver. |
| 6 | After successful pairing, the indicator will stop flashing. |
If 2.4 GHz does not work
- Check the battery charge.
- Connect the receiver directly to the computer.
- Do not use a USB hub for diagnostics.
- Try another USB port.
- Repeat pairing using Fn + 4.
- Check operation via USB-C.
- Check Bluetooth.
If USB-C and Bluetooth work but 2.4 GHz does not, the problem is unlikely to be caused by a missing standard Windows HID driver.

Configuring the side lighting
Separate commands are used for the decorative side lighting. On a keyboard with a numeric keypad, use the -, *, / keys on the numeric keypad so that they are not confused with the keys in the main section.

How to check the battery level
| Key combination | Function |
|---|---|
| Fn + Del | Display the battery level on the 1–0 keys. |
Each illuminated position corresponds to approximately 10% battery charge. After the keys are released, the normal RGB effect returns.
The battery indicator color also shows the approximate level:
| Charge | Indicator |
|---|---|
| 20% or below | Flashing red. |
| Up to 40% | Purple. |
| Up to 60% | Blue. |
| Up to 80% | Cyan. |
| Full charge | Green. |
Charging
When USB-C is connected, the keyboard enters charging mode. During charging, the battery indicator lights red. After the battery is fully charged, the red indicator turns off or changes to green depending on the current state.
Charging uses a 5 V / 2 A power supply.
Windows and Mac mode
| Key combination | Mode |
|---|---|
| Fn + W | Windows. |
| Fn + A | Mac. |
If multimedia or system keys start working incorrectly in Windows, first press Fn + W. Do not reinstall the HID driver until an incorrect system mode has been ruled out.

Factory Reset is worth trying after incorrect remapping, macros, an RGB malfunction, or unusual key behavior.
The keyboard turns off by itself after a few minutes
In wireless modes, this is normal power-saving behavior.

- Start Redragon Software.
- Check recently changed assignments.
- Delete the problematic macro.
- Restore the key’s default action.
- Apply the changes.
- Check the keyboard again.
- If necessary, hold Fn + Esc for about 3 seconds.
One key misses or duplicates keystrokes
First rule out software-related causes:
- Check the key assignment in Redragon Software.
- Check the associated macro.
- Perform a Factory Reset.
- Close the software and test the key again.
- Test the keyboard on another computer.
If your specific K725GBP revision has hot-swap and the problem consistently remains with one physical key, you can separately diagnose the mechanical switch after these checks.
How to check K725GBP in Windows 11
- Right-click the Start button.
- Select Device Manager.
- Check the Keyboards section.
- Check Human Interface Devices.

- Right-click the Start button.
- Open Device Manager.
- Check the Keyboards and Human Interface Devices sections.
- If using Bluetooth, also check the Bluetooth section.

Do not install firmware from another K725
The fact that K725GBP and some other K725 models use the same configuration software does not prove that their firmware is interchangeable.
If the keyboard does not work at all
- Move the side switch to OFF.
- Connect the USB-C cable.
- Try another USB port.
- Try another known-good data-capable cable.
- Allow the battery to charge.
- Restart the computer.
- Test the keyboard on another PC.
If K725GBP works via USB, troubleshoot Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz separately.
Can K725GBP be used without Redragon Software?
Yes. Proprietary software is not required for normal text input.
The keyboard can work via USB-C, 2.4 GHz, and Bluetooth using standard operating system features. Redragon Software v2.0 is mainly required for macros, remapping supported keys, advanced RGB configuration, and additional screen functions.
