Redragon K633RGB-PRO, also known as RYZE PRO, is a compact 68-key mechanical keyboard with three connection methods: via USB-C cable, through a 2.4 GHz wireless receiver, and via Bluetooth. A separate Redragon system driver is not required for normal operation: Windows uses standard HID drivers.
The proprietary Redragon program is only required for additional settings. Many functions, including switching RGB effects and recording macros, are available directly from the keyboard without installing the program.
Does Redragon K633RGB-PRO need a driver?
A separate Redragon driver is not required for normal text input, gaming, or use of the built-in functions.
When first connected, Windows automatically detects the keyboard as an HID device.
- Connect the keyboard to the computer using one of the supported methods.
- Wait a few seconds.
- Open any text editor.
- Test the letter keys, numbers, Enter, Backspace, and Space.
If input works, the standard HID driver is already installed.
There is no need to look for a universal K633 driver, install automatic driver update programs, or use drivers for another Redragon keyboard.
Three K633RGB-PRO connection modes
The keyboard supports:
- wired USB-C connection;
- 2.4 GHz wireless connection through the included USB receiver;
- Bluetooth with the ability to save up to three devices.
For normal use, you can choose any suitable mode. For configuration through Redragon Software, it is recommended to use USB or 2.4 GHz.
How to connect the keyboard via USB-C
For wired mode:
- Move the keyboard mode switch to OFF.
- Connect the USB-C connector of the cable to the keyboard.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a USB port on the computer.
- Wait for Windows to detect the device.
- Test text input.
Wired mode works on a Plug & Play basis. There is no need to install the program before connecting the keyboard.
How to connect K633RGB-PRO via 2.4 GHz
- Move the mode switch to 2.4G.
- Connect the included USB receiver to the computer.
- Wait a few seconds.
- Test the keyboard.
If the receiver and keyboard are already paired, the connection is usually established automatically.
If 2.4 GHz mode stops working
If the USB receiver is connected but the keyboard does not transmit key presses, perform the pairing procedure again.
- Disconnect the USB receiver from the computer.
- Switch the keyboard to 2.4G mode.
- Press and hold for about 3 seconds:
Fn + R
- After the keyboard enters pairing mode, connect the USB receiver to the computer.
- Connect it within approximately 20 seconds after starting pairing.
- Wait for the connection to be established automatically.
- Test text input.
How to connect K633RGB-PRO via Bluetooth
The keyboard allows you to save three Bluetooth connections.
The following key combinations are used:
Fn + Q — Bluetooth 1 Fn + W — Bluetooth 2 Fn + E — Bluetooth 3
For initial pairing:
- Move the keyboard switch to BT.
- Select one of the three Bluetooth profiles.
- For example, for the first profile, hold
Fn + Qfor about 3 seconds. - Open the option to add a Bluetooth device in Windows.
- Wait for the keyboard to appear in the list.
- Select it and complete pairing.
Depending on the Bluetooth mode being used, the device may appear under the name:
BT3.0Keyboard
or:
BT5.0 KB
How to add a second and third Bluetooth computer
For the second device, use the profile:
Fn + W
For the third:
Fn + E
During the first connection, hold the corresponding key combination for about 3 seconds to enable pairing mode.
After saving several devices, you can switch between them with a short press:
Fn + Q Fn + W Fn + E
Bluetooth works, but the Redragon program does not detect the keyboard
This is normal behavior for the proprietary software.
If K633RGB-PRO types normally via Bluetooth but the program reports that the device is not connected:
- close Redragon Software;
- switch the keyboard to wired mode or 2.4 GHz;
- wait for Windows to detect the device;
- launch the program again.
Do not remove a working Bluetooth driver or reinstall HID devices just because Redragon Software does not work via Bluetooth.
Official Redragon K633RGB-PRO software
This model uses program version 1.6.6.
Two file names appear in official Redragon sections:
Redragon_K633RGB-PRO_Setup_V1.6.6_202209013.exe
and:
Redragon_K633RGB-Software.exe
Verification showed that these two files are completely identical. They have the same size and checksum and contain the same program.
202209013 designation in the long file name is not a typo in this guide. This is the exact name used for the official Redragon installer.Where to download the program
Use the official Redragon software catalog:
You can also use the separate K633RGB-PRO download page:
Redragon K633RGB-PRO Gaming Keyboard software
If Redragon_K633RGB-Software.exe is downloaded from the separate page, it is the same verified version 1.6.6 software package.
What the Redragon program is used for
The proprietary software is an additional configuration utility, not a required keyboard driver.
The program can be used for supported additional settings, including programmable functions, macros, and RGB settings.
At the same time, a significant number of K633RGB-PRO functions are available directly from the keyboard. Therefore, installing the program only for normal operation is not required.

Windows shows a warning when launching the program
The verified installer may not appear in Windows as an application with a standard digital signature from a verified publisher. Therefore, Microsoft Defender SmartScreen or another Windows protection feature may display an additional warning.
Do not disable Microsoft Defender, SmartScreen, or antivirus protection just to install the keyboard program.
Before continuing:
- check that the installer was downloaded from the official Redragon website;
- verify the K633RGB-PRO designation;
- do not use programs from unknown websites;
- do not install software for another K633 model.
The program shows Device not detected
If the keyboard works but the proprietary program does not detect it, first check the connection mode.
- If Bluetooth is being used, switch to USB-C or 2.4 GHz.
- Close the Redragon program.
- Wait a few seconds after switching modes.
- Test normal text input.
- Launch the program again.
If the problem persists:
- connect the keyboard directly to a USB port on the computer;
- do not use a USB hub or docking station;
- close programs used to manage other Redragon keyboards;
- check that the program being used is specifically for K633RGB-PRO;
- restart Redragon Software.
The program does not detect the keyboard via 2.4 GHz

- Restart the computer.
- Connect the keyboard via USB.
- Install the official K633RGB-PRO package again.
Configuring RGB without the program
K633RGB-PRO has built-in lighting effects, so Redragon Software is not required for normal RGB configuration.
Switching effects:
Fn + PgUp
Changing brightness:
Fn + ↑ Fn + ↓
Changing animation speed:
Fn + ← Fn + →
Changing the color for supported effects:
Fn + PgDn
If the selected effect does not support an individual color, the key combination may not produce a visible result.
Custom RGB lighting
K633RGB-PRO allows you to create your own lighting configuration directly from the keyboard.
To enter custom configuration mode, use:
Fn + Backspace
After entering configuration mode, select keys and available color options according to the keyboard’s current mode. After configuration is complete, save the created configuration using the designated key combination.
If you only need the built-in lighting, installing Redragon Software is not required.
Hardware macro recording without the program
K633RGB-PRO supports recording macros directly from the keyboard.
The additional function key FN2 and G1–G6 keys are used for this.
Start recording:
FN2 + 7 (MR)
Then select one of the available G1–G6 macro keys and record the required sequence.
To run a saved macro, use:
FN2 + 1 FN2 + 2 FN2 + 3 FN2 + 4 FN2 + 5 FN2 + 6
Therefore, the proprietary Windows program is also not required for simple macros.
Keys work incorrectly after recording a macro
If the problem appeared after creating a macro:
- check whether a G1–G6 macro is active;
- try recording the correct sequence again;
- if the macro was created through the program, open Redragon Software via USB or 2.4 GHz;
- delete or change the problematic assignment;
- test the keyboard in a normal text editor.
Bluetooth does not connect
If Windows does not detect the keyboard:
- move the switch to BT mode;
- select profile Q, W, or E;
- hold the corresponding key combination for about 3 seconds;
- open Settings → Bluetooth & devices in Windows 11 or the Bluetooth section in Windows 10;
- start searching for a new device;
- select K633RGB-PRO from the list.
If the profile already contains an old pairing, try using another Bluetooth profile and perform the initial connection again.
Bluetooth connects but disconnects intermittently
Check:
- the battery level;
- the distance to the computer;
- the presence of strong sources of radio interference;
- whether another Bluetooth profile works;
- whether the keyboard works via USB-C.
If the keyboard works reliably over the cable, the problem does not appear to be related to a fault with the main keys or the HID driver.
How to check K633RGB-PRO in Windows 11
- Right-click the Start button.
- Select Device Manager.
- Check Keyboards.
- Also check Human Interface Devices.
- If there is a Bluetooth problem, also check Bluetooth.
The device may appear under a standard HID keyboard name. The absence of the word Redragon in the name is not an error by itself.
How to check K633RGB-PRO in Windows 10
- Right-click the Start button.
- Open Device Manager.
- Check Keyboards and Human Interface Devices.
- When using Bluetooth, also check Bluetooth.
If the keyboard types and there are no warning icons, there is no need to look for an additional system driver.
If the keyboard does not work at all
For troubleshooting, first use wired mode.
- Move the switch to OFF.
- Connect K633RGB-PRO to the computer with a USB-C cable.
- Try another USB port.
- Allow the battery to charge.
- Restart the computer.
- Test the keyboard on another computer.
If wired mode works, troubleshoot 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth separately.
If the keyboard is not detected even via USB on another computer, installing another version of Redragon Software usually does not solve this problem.
A yellow icon appears in Device Manager
If you have determined that the error belongs specifically to K633RGB-PRO:
- disconnect the keyboard;
- open Device Manager;
- find the related device with the error;
- right-click it;
- select Uninstall device;
- restart the computer;
- connect the keyboard via USB and wait for Windows to detect it again.
Do not install software or firmware for another K633
The K633 family includes other variants with similar designations. Do not use software or firmware for K633CGO-RGB-PRO, K633WGO-RGB-PRO, or another model just because they look similar.
Can K633RGB-PRO be used without the Redragon program?
Yes. Redragon Software is not required for normal operation.
The keyboard can be used via USB-C, 2.4 GHz, or Bluetooth through standard operating system features.
In addition, built-in RGB effects, lighting brightness and speed adjustment, custom lighting, and hardware macros are available without the program.
The proprietary version 1.6.6 program is only required for additional settings that are more convenient to configure through Windows.
