Redragon K671-KS is a wireless mechanical keyboard with three connection methods: USB-C, 2.4 GHz, and Bluetooth. A separate proprietary Redragon driver is not required for normal operation. Windows automatically uses the standard HID drivers.
For advanced configuration, separate Redragon K671-KS Setup V2.0 software is available. It is designed for programming supported keys, macros, and additional RGB lighting settings. The software does not need to be installed for the initial keyboard connection.
Does the Redragon K671-KS need a driver?
A separate Redragon driver is not required for basic operation.
This applies to all main connection methods:
- wired USB-C;
- 2.4 GHz wireless connection;
- Bluetooth.
After a successful connection, Windows automatically detects the keyboard as an HID device and installs the required system components.
If the keyboard already types normally, there is no need to search for or install an additional system driver.
The Redragon software is an additional configuration utility and does not replace the standard Windows HID driver.
Official K671-KS software
The keyboard software can be downloaded from the official Redragon page:

At the time of verification, the following installer is used:
Redragon_K671-KS_Setup_v2.0_20250813.exe
This is separate software for K671-KS version 2.0. It differs from K671 Setup V1.0, which is intended for the standard wired K671.
Microsoft Defender SmartScreen warning
The verified K671-KS Setup V2.0 installer does not have an Authenticode digital signature. Therefore, Windows 10 or Windows 11 may display a Microsoft Defender SmartScreen warning or indicate an unknown publisher.
If Windows displays “Windows protected your PC” and you are sure you are using the official K671-KS installer, click “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
How to install K671-KS Setup V2.0
- First connect the keyboard and make sure it works normally in Windows.
- Download the software specifically for K671-KS Gaming Keyboard.
- Close any Redragon software intended for other keyboards.
- For initial configuration, it is recommended to connect K671-KS to the computer with a USB-C cable.
- Run
Redragon_K671-KS_Setup_v2.0_20250813.exe. - Complete the installation.
- Launch the Redragon software and check whether the keyboard is detected.
Wired USB-C connection
Wired mode is convenient for initial keyboard testing, charging, and diagnosing wireless connection problems.
- Set the keyboard mode switch to USB.
- Connect the USB-C cable to the keyboard.
- Connect the other end of the cable directly to a USB port on the computer.
- Wait a few seconds.
- Open a text editor and test typing.
If the keyboard works in wired mode, the standard Windows HID driver is installed correctly.
If the problem exists only in 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth mode, reinstalling the HID driver is usually not required. First check the selected mode and wireless pairing.
Connecting K671-KS via 2.4 GHz
The included USB receiver is used for 2.4 GHz mode.
- Set the keyboard switch to 2.4G.
- Connect the included USB receiver directly to a USB port on the computer.
- Wait a few seconds.
- Check whether the keyboard works.
If the pairing information is saved, the connection is usually established automatically.
Re-pairing with the 2.4 GHz receiver
If the keyboard works over USB or Bluetooth but no longer connects to the included receiver:
- Make sure the keyboard has sufficient battery charge.
- Set the switch to 2.4G.
- Disconnect the USB receiver from the computer.
- Press and hold FN + 4 to start the re-pairing mode.
- When the corresponding indicator starts flashing rapidly, connect the USB receiver to the computer.
- Place the keyboard close to the receiver and wait for the connection to complete.
- Test typing.
Connecting K671-KS via Bluetooth
The keyboard supports several Bluetooth profiles for connecting to different devices.

A short press of the corresponding shortcut is used to select an already saved Bluetooth profile. For new pairing, press and hold the required shortcut for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator starts flashing rapidly.
Bluetooth in Windows 11
- Set the keyboard switch to BT.
- Select a profile and press and hold, for example, FN + 1 for approximately 3 seconds.
- Wait until the indicator starts flashing rapidly.
- Open Settings → Bluetooth & devices.
- Turn on Bluetooth.
- Click Add device.
- Select Bluetooth.
- Select K671-KS from the list of detected devices.
- Wait for the connection to complete.
Bluetooth in Windows 10
- Set the keyboard switch to BT.
- Press and hold FN + 1, FN + 2, or FN + 3 for approximately 3 seconds to start a new pairing process.
- Open Settings → Devices → Bluetooth & other devices.
- Turn on Bluetooth.
- Click Add Bluetooth or other device.
- Select Bluetooth.
- Select the keyboard from the list.
- Complete the pairing process.
Switching between Bluetooth devices
After the initial pairing, you can use three saved Bluetooth profiles.
To switch:
- FN + 1 — first device;
- FN + 2 — second device;
- FN + 3 — third device.
For normal switching between previously paired devices, a short press is sufficient. Pressing and holding the shortcut is used to start a new pairing process.
If Bluetooth no longer connects
If Windows shows the keyboard in the list of saved devices but the connection is no longer established, remove the old entry and pair the keyboard again.
Windows 11
- Open Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Devices.
- Find K671-KS.
- Open the device menu and select Remove device.
- Enable BT mode on the keyboard again.
- Press and hold the required shortcut: FN + 1, FN + 2, or FN + 3 for approximately 3 seconds.
- Add the keyboard again.
Windows 10
- Open Settings → Devices → Bluetooth & other devices.
- Select K671-KS.
- Click Remove device.
- Start a new pairing mode on the keyboard.
- Select Add Bluetooth or other device → Bluetooth.
- Connect K671-KS again.
Removing the Bluetooth pairing does not remove the keyboard driver and does not affect 2.4 GHz mode.
RGB lighting without software
K671-KS has built-in RGB lighting modes that can be controlled directly from the keyboard.

K671-KS provides several built-in RGB modes, including static and dynamic options.
FN + 1, FN + 2, and FN + 3: Bluetooth and gaming functions
In the K671-KS documentation, the same number keys are used for several functions depending on the selected operating mode and how they are pressed.
In Bluetooth mode, FN + 1, FN + 2, and FN + 3 are used to select and pair Bluetooth profiles. In other modes, these keys may be used for the keyboard’s supported gaming lighting options.
What K671-KS Setup V2.0 is used for
The official software is used for advanced keyboard configuration.
It provides supported functions related to:
- key remapping;
- macro creation;
- custom profiles;
- advanced RGB lighting configuration;
- other programmable device settings.
The software is not required for connecting via USB, 2.4 GHz, or Bluetooth.
Creating macros
For more complex automation, use the macro manager in K671-KS Setup V2.0.
- Launch the Redragon software.
- Open the macro section.
- Create a new macro.
- Record the required key sequence.
- If necessary, configure the supported delays.
- Save the macro.
- Assign it to a supported key.
- Apply the changes.
- Test the macro.
If the Redragon software does not detect K671-KS
If the keyboard works normally but K671-KS Setup V2.0 reports that the device is not found, first separate a proprietary software problem from a system HID driver problem.
- Make sure the installed software is specifically for K671-KS.
- Do not use K671 Setup V1.0 for the standard wired K671.
- Set the keyboard switch to USB.
- Connect K671-KS directly to the computer with a USB-C cable.
- Do not use a USB hub or docking station during testing.
- Try another USB port.
- Close other Redragon software.
- Restart K671-KS Setup V2.0.
- If necessary, restart Windows.
Do not install the software for the standard K671
The standard K671 uses:
Redragon K671 Setup V1.0
K671-KS uses:
Redragon K671-KS Setup V2.0
These are different programs for different hardware models.
Removing the wrong software in Windows 11
- Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
- Find the Redragon software for the wrong model.
- Open the menu next to its name.
- Select Uninstall.
- Complete the uninstallation.
- Restart Windows.
- Connect K671-KS in wired USB mode and first test it without the proprietary software.
Removing the wrong software in Windows 10
- Open Settings → Apps → Apps & features.
- Find the incompatible Redragon software.
- Select it and click Uninstall.
- Complete the uninstallation.
- Restart Windows.
- Test K671-KS without the software.
Removing the proprietary utility does not remove the standard Windows HID driver.
If K671-KS does not work via Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz
First test the keyboard in wired mode.
- Set the switch to USB.
- Connect the USB-C cable.
- Test typing.
If the keyboard works over USB but neither wireless mode is available:
- fully charge the keyboard;
- check the position of the physical switch;
- repeat the 2.4 GHz pairing process;
- remove the old Bluetooth pairing and create it again;
- try another USB port for the 2.4 GHz receiver.
In this situation, reinstalling the standard HID driver is usually not the first necessary action.
If the keyboard disconnects intermittently in 2.4 GHz mode
- Fully charge the keyboard.
- Connect the USB receiver directly to the computer.
- Do not use a USB hub.
- Try another USB port.
- Move the keyboard closer to the receiver.
- Move the receiver away from devices that may cause strong radio interference.
- If necessary, repeat the pairing process using FN + 4.
If the problem occurs only with one USB port while the connection is stable with another, the cause may be related to the port or interference rather than the keyboard driver.
If Bluetooth disconnects intermittently
- Check the keyboard battery level.
- Make sure the correct Bluetooth profile is selected.
- Move the keyboard closer to the computer.
- Remove the old Bluetooth pairing and pair the keyboard again.
- Test the keyboard with another Bluetooth device, such as another computer.
If K671-KS works reliably over USB and 2.4 GHz but Bluetooth continuously disconnects only on one computer, also check the Bluetooth adapter and its driver on that computer.
If one key does not work
K671-KS uses replaceable mechanical switches, so if one key is faulty, you can check the switch itself.
- Turn off the keyboard.
- Disconnect the USB-C cable.
- Remove the keycap from the problematic key.
- Carefully remove the switch using a suitable switch puller.
- Check the switch contacts.
- Install a known-good compatible switch.
- Turn on the keyboard and test the key again.
If the problem moves with the switch, the switch is most likely faulty.
If the same position still does not work with a known-good switch, there may be a problem with the hot-swap socket, PCB, or another hardware component of the keyboard.
If a key registers twice
A single keypress may produce two identical characters. This problem is not always related to the Windows driver.
- Test the problematic key in a standard text editor.
- Close K671-KS Setup V2.0 and repeat the test.
- Test the keyboard in wired USB mode.
- If the problem persists, turn off the keyboard.
- Replace the suspected mechanical switch with a known-good one.
- Repeat the test.
If the double input disappears after replacing the switch, the switch itself was the cause. If it remains in the same position, the problem may be in the PCB or hot-swap socket.
If the RGB lighting for one key does not work
If the key itself registers presses but its lighting does not work:
- switch between several built-in RGB modes;
- increase the brightness using FN + ↑;
- check the lighting settings in K671-KS Setup V2.0;
- test the keyboard after restarting it and in wired mode.
If the LED for one key position does not work in any mode but the key itself functions normally, the RGB LED may have a hardware fault. Replacing the mechanical switch usually does not restore an individual LED because the lighting is part of the keyboard itself.
If Windows does not detect K671-KS at all
For troubleshooting, use wired mode:
- set the switch to USB;
- connect the keyboard directly to the computer;
- try another USB port;
- do not use a USB hub;
- if possible, test another known-good USB-C cable that supports data transfer;
- restart Windows;
- test the keyboard on another computer.
If K671-KS works in wired mode on another computer, you can force Windows to detect the HID device again.
Re-detecting the keyboard in Windows
- Connect K671-KS via USB.
- Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand Keyboards.
- If several HID keyboards are listed, do not remove all of them.
- Disconnect K671-KS and identify which entry disappears.
- Reconnect the keyboard and make sure the corresponding entry appears.
- Right-click the specifically identified device.
- Select Uninstall device.
- Disconnect the keyboard for a few seconds.
- Connect it again.
Windows will automatically reinstall the standard HID driver.
If K671-KS is not detected in wired mode even on another computer, installing different Redragon software will usually not help. In this case, check the USB-C cable, the connector, and the keyboard itself.
