Redragon K671WBP-KS Gaming Keyboard: driver, software, Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz, and RGB lighting

Redragon K671WBP-KS is a wireless mechanical keyboard with USB-C, 2.4 GHz, and Bluetooth connectivity. A separate proprietary Redragon driver is not required for normal operation. After the keyboard is connected, Windows automatically uses the standard HID drivers.

For advanced keyboard configuration, the official Redragon K671-KS Setup V2.0 software is used. Despite the absence of WBP in the installer name, this is the file Redragon provides for K671WBP-KS.

Does the Redragon K671WBP-KS need a driver?

A separate Redragon driver is not required for basic operation.

This applies to all three connection methods:

• USB-C;
• 2.4 GHz wireless connection;
• Bluetooth.

After a successful connection, Windows detects the keyboard as a standard HID device and automatically installs the required system components.

If the keyboard already types normally, there is no need to search for an additional driver on the Internet.

The Redragon software is only required for additional settings such as macros, remapping supported keys, and advanced RGB configuration.

Official K671WBP-KS software

The software should be downloaded from the official Redragon download center:

For K671WBP-KS, Redragon uses the K671-KS family installer:

The software version is 2.0.

How to install K671-KS Setup V2.0

1. First make sure the keyboard works normally without the proprietary software.
2. Download the software from the official Redragon page for K671WBP-KS.
3. For initial configuration, it is recommended to use a wired USB-C connection.
4. Close Redragon software for other keyboards.
5. Run Redragon_K671-KS_Setup_v2.0_20250813.exe.
6. Complete the installation.
7. Launch the software and check whether the keyboard is detected.

If you only need normal text input, built-in RGB effects, and wireless connectivity, installing the software is optional.

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen warning

The verified K671-KS Setup V2.0 installer does not have an Authenticode digital signature. Therefore, Windows 10 or Windows 11 may display Microsoft Defender SmartScreen or an unknown publisher message.

If Windows displays “Windows protected your PC” and you are sure you are using the official installer, click “More info”, then “Run anyway”.

Wired USB-C connection

Wired mode is convenient for initial configuration and troubleshooting.

1. Set the keyboard mode switch to USB.
2. Connect the USB-C cable to the keyboard.
3. Connect the other end of the cable directly to a USB port on the computer.
4. Wait a few seconds.
5. Open a text editor and test typing.

If the keyboard works normally over USB, the standard Windows HID driver is installed correctly.

If the problem occurs only when connecting via Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz, reinstalling the system HID driver is usually not required.

Connecting via 2.4 GHz

The included USB receiver is used for 2.4 GHz wireless mode.

1. Set the keyboard switch to 2.4G.
2. Connect the included USB receiver directly to a USB port on the computer.
3. Wait a few seconds.
4. Check whether the keyboard works.

If the pairing information is saved, the connection is usually established automatically.

Re-pairing the 2.4 GHz connection

If the keyboard works via USB or Bluetooth but no longer connects to the included receiver:

1. Make sure the keyboard is charged.
2. Set the switch to 2.4G.
3. Disconnect the USB receiver from the computer.
4. Press and hold FN + 4 to start pairing mode.
5. When the indicator starts flashing rapidly, connect the receiver to the computer.
6. Place the keyboard close to the receiver and wait for the connection to complete.
7. Test typing.

Connecting via Bluetooth

Several Bluetooth profiles are available, allowing connections with different devices to be saved.

A short press is used to select a previously paired profile. For new pairing, press and hold the required shortcut for approximately 3 seconds until the indicator starts flashing rapidly.

Bluetooth in Windows 11

1. Set the keyboard switch to BT.
2. Press and hold FN + 1, FN + 2, or FN + 3 for approximately 3 seconds.
3. Open Settings → Bluetooth & devices.
4. Turn on Bluetooth.
5. Click Add device.
6. Select Bluetooth.
7. Select the keyboard from the list of detected devices.
8. Wait for the connection to complete.

Bluetooth in Windows 10

1. Set the keyboard switch to BT.
2. Press and hold FN + 1, FN + 2, or FN + 3 for approximately 3 seconds.
3. Open Settings → Devices → Bluetooth & other devices.
4. Turn on Bluetooth.
5. Select Add Bluetooth or other device.
6. Click Bluetooth.
7. Select the keyboard from the list.
8. Complete the pairing process.

Switching between Bluetooth devices

After the initial pairing, you can quickly switch between saved devices:

• FN + 1 — first device;
• FN + 2 — second device;
• FN + 3 — third device.

For normal switching, use a short press. Pressing and holding the shortcut starts a new pairing process.

If Bluetooth no longer connects

If the keyboard appears in the list of saved Windows devices but no longer connects, remove the old pairing and create it again.

Windows 11

1. Open Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Devices.
2. Find the keyboard.
3. Open the device menu and select Remove device.
4. Set the keyboard to BT mode.
5. Press and hold the required shortcut: FN + 1, FN + 2, or FN + 3.
6. Add the keyboard again.

Windows 10

1. Open Settings → Devices → Bluetooth & other devices.
2. Select the keyboard.
3. Click Remove device.
4. Start a new pairing process on the keyboard.
5. Select Add Bluetooth or other device → Bluetooth.
6. Connect the keyboard again.

Removing the Bluetooth pairing does not remove the standard Windows keyboard driver and does not affect 2.4 GHz mode.

RGB lighting without software

The main RGB effects can be controlled directly from the keyboard.

The keyboard includes built-in static and dynamic RGB effects. The proprietary software is not required for normal switching between lighting modes.

What K671-KS Setup V2.0 is used for

The proprietary software is used for advanced configuration.

The supported functions available through the software include:

• key remapping;
• macros;
• configuration profiles;
• advanced RGB lighting control.

The software is not required for connecting via USB, 2.4 GHz, or Bluetooth.

Creating macros

1. Launch K671-KS Setup V2.0.
2. Open the macro section.
3. Create a new macro.
4. Record the required key sequence.
5. If necessary, configure the available delays.
6. Save the macro.
7. Assign it to a supported key.
8. Apply the settings.
9. Test the result.

If the Redragon software does not detect K671WBP-KS

If the keyboard works normally but K671-KS Setup V2.0 does not detect the device, first check the connection and make sure the correct software is installed.

1. Make sure the software was downloaded from the official K671WBP-KS page.
2. Do not remove the software simply because its name says K671-KS — this is the official installer for K671WBP-KS.
3. Set the keyboard to USB.
4. Connect it directly to the computer with a USB-C cable.
5. Do not use a USB hub or docking station.
6. Try another USB port.
7. Close Redragon software for other devices.
8. Close K671-KS Setup V2.0 and launch it again.
9. If necessary, restart Windows.

Do not install the software for the standard K671

The wired K671 uses:

Redragon K671 Setup V1.0

For K671WBP-KS, the official website uses:

Redragon K671-KS Setup V2.0

These programs should not be considered interchangeable.

Removing the wrong software in Windows 11

1. Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
2. Find the Redragon software for another model.
3. Open the menu next to its name.
4. Select Uninstall.
5. Complete the uninstallation.
6. Restart Windows.
7. Connect K671WBP-KS via USB and first test it without the software.

Removing the wrong software in Windows 10

1. Open Settings → Apps → Apps & features.
2. Find the incompatible Redragon software.
3. Select it and click Uninstall.
4. Complete the uninstallation.
5. Restart Windows.
6. Test the keyboard without the proprietary software.

Removing the Redragon software does not remove the standard Windows HID driver.

If neither Bluetooth nor 2.4 GHz works

First test the keyboard in wired mode.

1. Set the switch to USB.
2. Connect the USB-C cable.
3. Test typing.

If the device works over USB:

1. fully charge the keyboard;
2. check the position of the mode switch;
3. repeat the 2.4 GHz pairing process using FN + 4;
4. remove the old Bluetooth pairing and create it again;
5. try another USB port for the wireless receiver.

If wired mode works, the problem is usually not related to the basic Windows HID driver.

If the 2.4 GHz connection drops intermittently

1. Fully charge the keyboard.
2. Connect the USB receiver directly to the computer.
3. Do not use a USB hub.
4. Try another USB port.
5. Move the keyboard closer to the receiver.
6. Move the receiver away from devices that may cause radio interference.
7. If necessary, repeat the pairing process using FN + 4.

If Bluetooth disconnects intermittently

1. Check the keyboard battery level.
2. Make sure the correct Bluetooth profile is selected.
3. Move the keyboard closer to the computer.
4. Remove the old pairing and add the device again.
5. Test the keyboard with another computer or another Bluetooth device.

If the keyboard works reliably over USB and 2.4 GHz but Bluetooth disconnects only on one computer, also check that computer’s Bluetooth adapter and its driver.

If one key does not work

K671WBP-KS uses replaceable mechanical switches. Therefore, if one key is faulty, you can first check the switch.

1. Turn off the keyboard.
2. Disconnect the USB-C cable.
3. Remove the keycap from the problematic key.
4. Carefully remove the switch using a suitable switch puller.
5. Check the metal contacts on the switch.
6. Install a known-good compatible switch.
7. Turn on the keyboard and test it again.

If the problem moves with the switch, the switch itself is most likely the cause.

If the same key still does not work with a known-good switch, the problem may be related to the hot-swap socket, PCB, or another hardware component.

If a key registers twice

Double character input after a single keypress is not always related to the Windows driver.

1. Test the key in a standard text editor.
2. Close the Redragon software and repeat the test.
3. Switch the keyboard to wired USB mode.
4. If the problem persists, turn off the keyboard.
5. Replace the suspected switch with a known-good one.
6. Test the key again.

If the double input moves with the switch, the switch is faulty. If it remains in the same position, the hot-swap socket or PCB may have a problem.

If the RGB lighting for one key does not work

If the key itself works but its LED does not light up:

1. switch between several RGB modes;
2. increase the brightness using FN + ↑;
3. check the RGB settings in K671-KS Setup V2.0;
4. test the keyboard after restarting it;
5. test it in wired mode.

If the LED for one key position does not work in any mode but the key itself works correctly, the RGB LED may have a hardware fault. Replacing the mechanical switch usually does not restore the lighting because the LED is a separate keyboard component.

If Windows does not detect K671WBP-KS at all

For troubleshooting, use wired USB mode:

1. set the switch to USB;
2. connect the keyboard directly to the computer;
3. try another USB port;
4. do not use a USB hub;
5. if possible, try another known-good USB-C cable that supports data transfer;
6. restart Windows;
7. test the keyboard on another computer.

If the device works on another computer, you can force Windows to detect the HID keyboard again.

Re-detecting the keyboard in Windows

1. Connect K671WBP-KS via USB.
2. Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
3. Expand Keyboards.
4. If several HID keyboards are listed, do not remove all of them.
5. Disconnect K671WBP-KS and identify which entry disappears.
6. Reconnect the keyboard and make sure the corresponding entry appears.
7. Right-click the specifically identified device.
8. Select Uninstall device.
9. Disconnect the keyboard for a few seconds.
10. Connect it again.

Windows will automatically reinstall the standard HID driver.

If K671WBP-KS is not detected in wired mode even on another computer, installing different Redragon software will usually not help. In this case, check the USB-C cable, the connector, and the keyboard itself.
