Which part of the page is available for printing

Why the document is cut off

The most common causes are:

• printing at 100% scale or Actual size is selected in the program;
• the document’s bottom margin is less than 16.7 mm;
• the page number is positioned too close to the bottom edge;
• the document page size does not match the loaded paper;
• Letter is selected in the document, but A4 paper is loaded in the printer;
• the wrong paper size is selected in the Canon driver;
• the image is stretched to the edges of the sheet;
• the user is trying to enable borderless printing, which this series does not support.

Method 1. Fit a PDF file to the printable area

If the bottom part is cut off when printing a PDF, first use automatic page fitting. Adobe Acrobat Reader can reduce the content to fit within the area available to the printer.

Printing with Adobe Acrobat Reader

1. Open the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
2. Press Ctrl + P.
3. At the top of the window, select Canon MG2500 series Printer.
