Redragon K708GG-RGB-PRO FLEKACT PRO: driver, software, Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz, display, and RGB lighting

Last Updated on 18.09.2026 by DriverNew

Redragon K708GG-RGB-PRO FLEKACT PRO is a 75% wireless mechanical keyboard with 81 keys, USB-C, 2.4 GHz, and Bluetooth connectivity, a built-in 1.14-inch display, and RGB lighting. A separate proprietary Redragon driver is not required for normal operation. After connection, Windows automatically uses the standard HID keyboard driver.

For advanced configuration, Redragon provides separate software. It is used for remapping supported keys, creating macros, working with profiles, and additional RGB settings.

Important: the model is called K708GG-RGB-PRO, but the official Redragon installer is currently named Redragon K708GGB-RGB-PRO.exe. The additional letter B in the file name does not mean that the software is intended for another keyboard.

Does Redragon K708GG-RGB-PRO need a driver?

A separate Redragon system driver is not required for basic operation.

Windows automatically installs the necessary HID components after the keyboard is connected:

  • via USB-C;
  • through the included 2.4 GHz USB receiver;
  • via Bluetooth.

If the keyboard types and the main keys work, you do not need to look for an additional system driver.

The proprietary Redragon program is a configuration utility and does not replace the standard Windows HID driver.

Official K708GG-RGB-PRO software

It is recommended to download the program from the official Redragon download center:

Redragon software

For the K708GG-RGB-PRO model, the official website currently provides the following file:

Redragon K708GGB-RGB-PRO.exe

The verified installer has a digital signature and is completely identical to the software packages for several other variants of the K708 family. Nevertheless, it is recommended to download the file specifically through the K708GG-RGB-PRO entry in the official download center.

Do not replace the official file with software for another K708 version just because the name is similar. Redragon may change the software packages in the future.

Why the program is called KS82 PRO MAX

The following designation is used inside the verified official K708GG-RGB-PRO installer:

KS82 PRO MAX

Therefore, after installation, the name of the program window, shortcut, or executable file may differ from the keyboard name.

For the user, this may look like this:

K708GG-RGB-PRO → K708GGB-RGB-PRO.exe → KS82 PRO MAX

In this case, all these designations refer to the official software package for this model.

Do not uninstall the program just because it is called KS82 PRO MAX. The verified official K708GG-RGB-PRO installer does in fact contain this internal designation.

Installer digital signature

The verified Redragon K708GGB-RGB-PRO.exe has an Authenticode digital signature.

The end-entity signer certificate lists:

Shenzhen Evision Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd

Therefore, the usual instructions for bypassing Microsoft Defender SmartScreen that apply to unsigned files are not required for this installer.

If the downloaded file unexpectedly shows an unknown publisher or Windows reports a problem with the digital signature, do not run it immediately. Download the program again from the official Redragon page and check the file once more.

How to install K708GG-RGB-PRO software

  1. First connect the keyboard and make sure it works without the proprietary program.
  2. Open the official Redragon download center.
  3. Find K708GG-RGB-PRO.
  4. Download the official installer offered there.
  5. For initial setup, connect the keyboard to the computer via USB-C.
  6. Close Redragon programs intended for other devices.
  7. Run Redragon K708GGB-RGB-PRO.exe.
  8. Confirm the Windows prompt to allow changes if it appears.
  9. Complete the installation.
  10. Launch the program.
  11. Do not be surprised if it appears as KS82 PRO MAX.

If you only need normal text input, wireless connectivity, and built-in RGB effects, you do not need to install the proprietary program.

Wired USB-C connection

Wired mode is recommended for the initial check, charging, and diagnosing wireless connection problems.

  1. Move the 2.4G / OFF / BT switch to OFF.
  2. Connect the USB-C cable to the keyboard.
  3. Connect the other end of the cable directly to a USB port on the computer.
  4. Wait a few seconds.
  5. Open a text editor and test text input.
The OFF position is used for wired operation when the USB-C cable is connected. In this case, the OFF label does not mean that the keyboard cannot operate over a wired connection.

If K708GG-RGB-PRO works normally over USB, the standard Windows HID driver is installed correctly.

Connecting via 2.4 GHz

The included USB receiver is used for 2.4 GHz wireless mode.

  1. Move the keyboard switch to 2.4G.
  2. Connect the included USB receiver to the computer.
  3. Wait a few seconds.
  4. Test the keyboard.

If pairing has been saved, the connection is usually established automatically.

Re-pairing the 2.4 GHz receiver

If the keyboard works over USB or Bluetooth but no longer connects to the included receiver:

  1. Make sure the keyboard has sufficient charge.
  2. Move the switch to 2.4G.
  3. Disconnect the USB receiver from the computer.
  4. Press and hold FN + 4 for about 3 seconds.
  5. Wait for the pairing indicator to flash rapidly.
  6. Connect the included USB receiver to the computer.
  7. Place the keyboard near the receiver.
  8. Wait for pairing to complete.
Use the included USB receiver. Receivers from different Redragon keyboards may look identical, but this does not guarantee compatibility.

Connecting K708GG-RGB-PRO via Bluetooth

The keyboard supports three Bluetooth profiles.

Key combination Profile Name shown during Bluetooth search
FN + 1 Bluetooth 1 BT5.0 Keyboard-1
FN + 2 Bluetooth 2 BT5.0 Keyboard-2
FN + 3 Bluetooth 3 BT5.0 Keyboard-3

For new pairing, hold the corresponding key combination for about 3 seconds. A short press is used to switch between already saved devices.

Bluetooth in Windows 11

  1. Move the keyboard switch to BT.
  2. Select the required profile and hold FN + 1, FN + 2, or FN + 3 for about 3 seconds.

Switching between Bluetooth devices

After the initial pairing, use a short press:

  • FN + 1 — first Bluetooth device;
  • FN + 2 — second device;
  • FN + 3 — third device.

Holding the selected combination starts a new pairing process.

If Bluetooth no longer connects

If the keyboard remains among the saved Windows devices but the connection can no longer be established, remove the old pairing and create it again.

Windows 11

  1. Open Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Devices.
  2. Find the corresponding keyboard profile.
  3. Open the device menu and select Remove device.
  4. Switch the keyboard to BT mode.
  5. Hold the required combination FN + 1, FN + 2, or FN + 3.
  6. Add the device again.

Windows 10

  1. Open Settings → Devices → Bluetooth & other devices.
  2. Select the saved keyboard.
  3. Click Remove device.
  4. Start a new Bluetooth pairing process on K708GG-RGB-PRO.
  5. Select Add Bluetooth or other device → Bluetooth.
  6. Add the keyboard again.

Removing the Bluetooth pairing does not remove the standard Windows HID driver and does not affect 2.4 GHz mode.

Controlling RGB lighting without the program

K708GG-RGB-PRO supports 20 built-in RGB lighting modes. The main functions can be used without the proprietary program.

Key combination Function
FN + right Shift Switch between built-in RGB effects.
FN + ↑ Increase brightness.
FN + ↓ Decrease brightness.
FN + → Increase the speed of the dynamic effect.
FN + ← Decrease the speed of the dynamic effect.
FN + Enter Change the color in supported modes.

Brightness and speed can be adjusted through several levels. With FN + Enter, supported modes allow you to cycle through red, green, blue, yellow, purple, cyan, white, and a multicolor RGB option.

If the lighting does not work as expected, first switch through several built-in effects and adjust the brightness. There is no need to reinstall the HID driver just because of RGB settings.

Custom RGB lighting without the program

K708GG-RGB-PRO lets you create your own lighting layout directly from the keyboard.

Use:

FN + Backspace

  1. Press FN + Backspace to enter custom mode.
  2. Use the combination again to start recording.
  3. After entering configuration mode, the Caps Lock indicator starts flashing.
  4. Select the required key and press it repeatedly to set its color.
  5. Repeat the process for the other keys.
  6. Press FN + Backspace to save the custom lighting.

For more advanced RGB configuration, you can use the proprietary program.

Built-in 1.14-inch display

K708GG-RGB-PRO is equipped with a built-in display and a multifunction rotary knob.

In normal mode, the knob is used to control the volume.

To use the display menu:

  1. Press the knob to open the menu.
  2. Rotate the knob to move between the available items.
  3. Press the knob to confirm the selected function.

If no action is taken for about 5 seconds, the menu closes automatically.

The display can show the keyboard status, connection mode, battery level, and settings for supported functions.

Different descriptions may use different terms for the screen technology. For practical configuration, it is sufficient to refer to the built-in 1.14-inch display and multifunction knob.

If the display does not work

If the keyboard types but the screen does not display information:

  1. Connect K708GG-RGB-PRO via USB-C.
  2. Check the multifunction knob.
  3. Try opening the built-in menu by pressing the knob.
  4. Disconnect the keyboard from the computer for a few seconds and connect it again.
  5. Perform a factory reset with FN + ESC.
  6. Check the display before launching the proprietary program.

If the keyboard works but the screen remains completely inactive after a reset and reconnection, the cause may be hardware-related. Reinstalling the standard HID driver usually does not restore a faulty display.

Switching between Windows and macOS modes

For Windows mode, use:

FN + W

For macOS:

FN + A

The operating system mode can also be changed through the keyboard’s built-in menu.

On K708GG-RGB-PRO, FN + W is used for Windows mode. Do not apply key combinations from other Redragon series to this keyboard, where FN + W may perform a different function.

If the Win, Alt, or other system keys unexpectedly change behavior in Windows, first restore Windows mode with FN + W.

Locking the Windows key

To lock the Windows key, use:

FN + Win

Pressing the combination again restores normal operation of the key.

Multimedia functions

Key combination Function
FN + F1 Decrease screen brightness.
FN + F2 Increase screen brightness.
FN + F3 Window management.
FN + F4 System speech recognition function in supported versions of Windows.
FN + F5 Show the desktop.
FN + F6 Search.
FN + F7 Previous track.
FN + F8 Play / pause.
FN + F9 Next track.
FN + F10 Mute or unmute sound.
FN + F11 Decrease volume.
FN + F12 Increase volume.

How to check the battery level

To display the battery level, use:

FN + INS

Hold the combination to make the keyboard display the battery level. After you release the keys, the device returns to normal mode.

K708GG-RGB-PRO is equipped with a 4000 mAh battery.

When the battery level is low, the RGB lighting may turn off and the power indicator may begin flashing red slowly when a key is pressed. In this case, connect the USB-C cable and charge the keyboard.

Sleep mode

When operating via Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz, the keyboard automatically reduces power consumption after a period of inactivity.

  • after approximately 3 minutes of inactivity, the lighting turns off;
  • after approximately 30 minutes, the keyboard enters a deeper sleep mode and the wireless connection is temporarily disconnected.

To wake the keyboard, press any key and wait for the wireless connection to be restored.

The lighting turning off automatically after several minutes of inactivity is not a malfunction. This is normal power-saving behavior.

Resetting K708GG-RGB-PRO to factory settings

If the keyboard works incorrectly after changing RGB, profiles, the operating system mode, or other settings, perform a hardware reset.

Press and hold:

FN + ESC

Hold the combination for about 3 seconds.

After the reset, first test the keyboard without launching the proprietary program.

A factory reset may delete custom settings, including created macros and lighting profiles.

What the KS82 PRO MAX program is used for

Despite the internal KS82 PRO MAX name, in this case it refers to the program that the official Redragon website provides for K708GG-RGB-PRO.

It is intended for supported functions including:

  • key remapping;
  • macro creation;
  • profile management;
  • advanced RGB lighting configuration.

This program is not required for normal keyboard connection via USB-C, 2.4 GHz, or Bluetooth.

Creating macros

  1. Connect K708GG-RGB-PRO to the computer.
  2. Launch the proprietary program. In the interface, it may be called KS82 PRO MAX.
  3. Open the macro management section.
  4. Create a new macro.
  5. Record the required key sequence.
  6. If necessary, configure the available delays.
  7. Save the macro.
  8. Assign it to a supported key.
  9. Apply the changes.
  10. Test the result.
When using macros in games, follow the rules of the specific game. Some types of automation may be prohibited.

If the program does not detect K708GG-RGB-PRO

If the keyboard works normally but the proprietary program does not detect the device:

  1. Make sure the installer was downloaded from the K708GG-RGB-PRO entry in the official download center.
  2. Do not delete the file just because it is named K708GGB-RGB-PRO.exe.
  3. Do not uninstall the installed program just because it is named KS82 PRO MAX.
  4. Move the keyboard switch to OFF.
  5. Connect the keyboard directly to the computer with a USB-C cable.
  6. Do not use a USB hub or docking station.
  7. Try another USB port.
  8. Close Redragon programs for other devices.
  9. Close KS82 PRO MAX and launch the program again.
  10. Restart Windows if necessary.
If the keyboard types normally, the standard Windows HID driver is already working. If the program does not detect K708GG-RGB-PRO, do not remove the system HID driver as your first troubleshooting step.

If software for another K708 model is installed

Before installing the correct software, it is recommended to remove the incorrect program.

Windows 11

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
  2. Find the incorrect Redragon program.
  3. Open the menu next to its name.
  4. Select Uninstall.
  5. Restart Windows.
  6. If necessary, perform an FN + ESC reset.
  7. Test K708GG-RGB-PRO without the proprietary program.
  8. Install the package downloaded through the official K708GG-RGB-PRO entry.

Windows 10

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Apps & features.
  2. Find the incorrect Redragon program.
  3. Select it and click Uninstall.
  4. Restart Windows.
  5. Test the keyboard without the proprietary software.
  6. Then install the correct program.

Removing the proprietary program does not remove the standard Windows HID driver.

If Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz do not work

First test the keyboard in wired mode.

  1. Move the switch to OFF.
  2. Connect the USB-C cable.
  3. Test text input.

If the keyboard works over USB:

  1. fully charge the keyboard;
  2. check the position of the mode switch;
  3. repeat 2.4 GHz pairing using FN + 4;
  4. remove the old Bluetooth pairing and create it again;
  5. try another USB port for the receiver.

If wired mode works, the problem is usually not related to the basic Windows HID driver.

If the 2.4 GHz connection drops intermittently

  1. Check the battery level.
  2. Connect the receiver directly to the computer.
  3. Do not use a USB hub for testing.
  4. Try another USB port.
  5. Move the keyboard closer to the receiver.
  6. Move the receiver away from sources of strong radio interference.
  7. If necessary, repeat pairing using FN + 4.

If Bluetooth disconnects intermittently

  1. Check the keyboard’s battery level.
  2. Make sure the correct Bluetooth profile is selected.
  3. Move the keyboard closer to the computer.
  4. Remove the old Bluetooth pairing and add the device again.
  5. Test the keyboard with another computer or another Bluetooth device.

If K708GG-RGB-PRO works reliably over USB and 2.4 GHz but Bluetooth disconnects only on one computer, also check that computer’s Bluetooth adapter and its driver.

If one key does not work

K708GG-RGB-PRO supports hot-swap and compatible 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches. Therefore, if one key fails, you can test the switch separately.

  1. Turn off the keyboard and disconnect the USB-C cable.
  2. Remove the keycap from the problem key.
  3. Carefully remove the switch with a suitable switch puller.
  4. Check the metal contacts.
  5. Install a known-good compatible switch.
  6. Turn on the keyboard and test it again.

If the problem moves with the switch, the switch itself is most likely faulty.

If the same key position still does not work with a known-good switch, there may be a problem with the hot-swap socket, PCB, or another hardware component.

If a key registers twice

If one press sometimes produces two identical characters:

  1. Test the problem key in a normal text editor.
  2. Close the proprietary program and repeat the test.
  3. Test the keyboard in wired USB mode.
  4. If the problem persists, turn off the keyboard.
  5. Replace the suspected switch with a known-good one.
  6. Repeat the test.

If the double input moves with the switch, the switch is the cause. If it remains at the same key position, there may be a fault in the hot-swap socket or PCB.

Before replacing a mechanical switch, turn off the keyboard and disconnect the USB-C cable. Install the new switch carefully to avoid bending its metal contacts.

If Windows does not detect K708GG-RGB-PRO at all

Use wired mode for diagnosis.

  1. Move the switch to OFF.
  2. Connect the USB-C cable directly to the computer.
  3. Try another USB port.
  4. Do not use a USB hub.
  5. If possible, try another known-good USB-C cable that supports data transfer.
  6. Restart Windows.
  7. Test the keyboard on another computer.

If K708GG-RGB-PRO works on another computer, you can have Windows redetect the HID device.

Redetecting the keyboard in Windows

  1. Connect K708GG-RGB-PRO via USB.
  2. Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
  3. Expand Keyboards.
  4. If several HID keyboards are displayed, do not uninstall all of them.
  5. Disconnect K708GG-RGB-PRO and identify which entry disappears.
  6. Connect the keyboard again and make sure the corresponding entry reappears.
  7. Right-click the device you have positively identified.
  8. Select Uninstall device.
  9. Disconnect the keyboard for a few seconds.
  10. Connect it again.

Windows will automatically reinstall the standard HID driver.

If K708GG-RGB-PRO is not detected over USB even on another computer, installing software for another Redragon model usually will not help. In this case, check the USB-C cable, connector, and the keyboard itself.
