Redragon S101-4 Gaming Combo: driver, software, keyboard and mouse configuration

Redragon S101-4 Gaming Combo is a wired gaming keyboard and mouse set. For normal operation, there is no need to install a separate Redragon driver. After the devices are connected to USB ports, Windows automatically uses the standard system HID drivers.

Official Redragon software is also available for S101-4. One archive contains two separate programs: one for the keyboard and one for the mouse. They are required only for additional settings and are not mandatory drivers.

Does Redragon S101-4 need a driver?

A special Redragon driver is not required for normal keyboard and mouse operation.

1. Connect the keyboard USB cable to an available USB port on the computer.
2. Connect the mouse to another USB port.
3. Wait a few seconds while Windows detects both devices.
4. Test text input and mouse pointer movement.

If the keyboard and mouse already work, there is no need to look for another driver.

The proprietary Redragon software works in addition to the standard Windows HID drivers and does not replace them.

Is software available for S101-4?

Yes. Redragon provides official software for S101-4 Gaming Combo.

The archive contains two separate programs:

• Redragon S101-4 GAMING KEYBOARD setup v1.0.0.1.exe — keyboard software;
• Redragon S101-4 GAMING MOUSE setup.exe — mouse software.

Why the keyboard software may be called K503A-RGB V2

After installing the keyboard software, the K503A-RGB V2 designation may appear in the internal data and interface.

This does not mean that you accidentally installed software for a completely different keyboard. The verified official S101-4 package contains this software component, and this software family is used for the keyboard included with S101-4.

If the installer was obtained from the official Redragon_S101-4_Software.zip archive, this internal name alone is not a reason to remove the software.

S101-4 mouse software

The mouse included with S101-4 belongs to the M601-RGB V2 software family.

Using the proprietary software, you can change supported mouse settings, including:

• DPI levels;
• programmable button assignments;
• polling rate;
• supported RGB lighting settings;
• profiles and other available settings.

The software is not required for normal pointer movement and operation of the main buttons.

How to install the software

1. Open the official S101-4 Gaming Combo download page.
2. Download the Redragon_S101-4_Software.zip archive.
3. Fully extract the ZIP archive to a separate folder.
4. Do not run the installers directly from the archive window.
5. To configure the keyboard, run Redragon S101-4 GAMING KEYBOARD setup v1.0.0.1.exe.
6. To configure the mouse, run Redragon S101-4 GAMING MOUSE setup.exe.
7. Complete the installation and restart Windows if the installer prompts you to do so.

During installation, Windows may display the standard User Account Control prompt asking you to allow the app to make changes. If the software was downloaded from the official Redragon page and the filename corresponds to S101-4, confirm the launch.

Connecting S101-4 in Windows 11

No additional installation is required for normal operation.

1. Connect the keyboard and mouse to USB ports on the computer.
2. Wait for the devices to be detected automatically.
3. Test the keyboard in any text field.
4. Test pointer movement and the main mouse buttons.

If the devices work, install the Redragon software only if additional settings are required.

Connecting S101-4 in Windows 10

1. Connect the keyboard and mouse to USB ports on the computer.
2. Wait while Windows automatically prepares the devices.
3. Test the keyboard and mouse.

There is no need to install a separate driver package for normal operation.

G1–G5 hardware macro recording

The S101-4 keyboard has dedicated G1, G2, G3, G4, G5 keys and a Rec key. A simple keystroke sequence can be recorded directly from the keyboard without software.

1. Press Rec.
2. Press one of the G1–G5 keys where you want to record the command.
3. Enter the required key sequence.
4. Press Rec again to finish recording.
5. Press the selected G1–G5 key to test the recorded sequence.

If the hardware recording capabilities are not sufficient for a specific task, you can use the proprietary keyboard software.

Controlling keyboard RGB lighting without software

The main lighting modes can be controlled directly from the keyboard.

Redragon software is not required to use these built-in modes.

If the keyboard lighting does not work

1. Press FN + PGDN to check whether the lighting was turned off.
2. Press FN + ↑ several times to increase the brightness.
3. Try another mode using FN + INS, FN + HOME, or another lighting shortcut.
4. Disconnect the keyboard from the USB port and reconnect it.
5. Connect the keyboard directly to another USB port on the computer.

Do not install software for another Redragon model just to restore the lighting.

Locking the Windows key

While gaming, the Windows key can be locked so that an accidental press does not open the Start menu.

Use:

FN + WIN

Pressing it again removes the lock.

If the Windows key suddenly stops working, check this shortcut first.

Mouse DPI configuration

The S101-4 mouse supports several sensitivity levels. The official page lists the following for this version:

• 800 DPI;
• 1200 DPI;
• 1600 DPI;
• 2400 DPI;
• 7200 DPI.

For quick sensitivity switching, use the DPI button on the mouse.

If you need to adjust the supported settings more precisely, use the mouse software from the official S101-4 archive.

Configuring the mouse polling rate

The proprietary software allows you to select the supported mouse polling rate.

For S101-4, the following values are specified:

• 125 Hz;
• 250 Hz;
• 500 Hz;
• 1000 Hz.

If the mouse works normally, there is no need to change this setting.

Remapping mouse buttons

The S101-4 mouse has programmable buttons. To change their assignments, install the mouse software from the official S101-4 package.

Before changing settings, it is recommended to remember or save the original button assignments so that you can restore the default configuration if necessary.

If the software says Device is Disconnected

Sometimes the keyboard or mouse works normally in Windows, but the proprietary software reports that the device is not connected.

This does not necessarily mean that a driver is missing.

For the keyboard:

1. Make sure the installed software is from the official S101-4 archive.
2. Connect the keyboard directly to a USB port on the computer.
3. Do not use a USB hub or docking station for testing.
4. Close the Redragon software.
5. Connect the keyboard to another USB port.
6. Launch the software again.

For the mouse:

1. Make sure the S101-4 GAMING MOUSE software is installed, not M601-3 or M601 RGB V1.
2. Connect the mouse directly to the computer.
3. Try another USB port.
4. Close and relaunch the software.

If software for another Redragon version is installed

It is better to remove old or incompatible software before installing the S101-4 software.

Windows 11

1. Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
2. Find the old Redragon software.
3. Open its menu and select Uninstall.
4. Restart Windows.
5. Then install the required software from the S101-4 archive.

Windows 10

1. Open Settings → Apps → Apps & features.
2. Find the old Redragon software.
3. Select it and click Uninstall.
4. Restart Windows.
5. Install the software from the official S101-4 archive.

If the keyboard is not detected by Windows

1. Disconnect the keyboard from the computer.
2. Connect it to another USB port.
3. Do not use a USB hub or extension cable during testing.
4. Restart Windows.
5. If possible, test the keyboard on another computer.

If the keyboard works on another computer, you can force Windows to detect the device again.

1. Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
2. Expand Keyboards.
3. If several HID keyboards are listed, do not remove all of them.
4. Identify the correct device by disconnecting and reconnecting S101-4.
5. Right-click the identified device and select Uninstall device.
6. Disconnect the keyboard for a few seconds and reconnect it.

Windows will reinstall the standard system driver.

If the mouse is not detected by Windows

1. Connect the mouse to another USB port.
2. Test it without a USB hub.
3. Restart the computer.
4. If possible, test the mouse on another computer.

If the mouse works on another computer:

1. Open Device Manager.
2. Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
3. Identify the correct HID mouse by disconnecting and reconnecting the device.
4. Right-click it and select Uninstall device.
5. Disconnect the mouse for a few seconds and reconnect it.

Windows will automatically restore the standard HID driver.

If the right, left, or side mouse button works incorrectly

If the problem appeared after changing settings in the software:

1. Open the S101-4 Gaming Mouse software.
2. Check the assignment of the problematic button.
3. Restore the default action or restore the default profile.
4. Save the changes and test the mouse again.

If the problem persists even without the software and on another computer, there may be a hardware fault in the button or switch.

If the keyboard or mouse disconnects intermittently

1. Connect the device directly to a USB port on the computer.
2. Try another USB port.
3. Do not use a USB hub or extension cable for testing.
4. Inspect the cable and connector for damage.
5. Test the device on another computer.

If the problem occurs on several computers, reinstalling the Redragon software will usually not fix a hardware problem with the cable, connector, or the device itself.
