Suitable for: Pantum M6507, M6507W, M6500, M6500W, M6506NW, M6550W, M6550NW, and other models in the Pantum M6200 / M6500 / M6550 / M6600 series.
This guide is suitable when the MFP is detected in Windows, scanning works, but the document does not print, gets stuck in the queue, or the job disappears without any result.
Download the driver: Pantum M6200-M6500-M6550-M6600 Series Windows Driver V1.14.47 CD
When this guide applies
- The MFP is connected via USB.
- Scanning works.
- Printing does not start or fails with an error.
- The problem appeared after driver installation or after reconnecting the device.
Before you begin
- Connect the MFP directly to the computer, without a USB hub.
- Prepare 2–3 sheets of standard A4 paper.
- Close unnecessary programs that may be sending print jobs.
Step 1. Check whether the device prints without a computer
Make a regular copy from the MFP control panel. If the copy prints, the print engine, paper feed, and cartridge are most likely fine. In this case, you need to check Windows, the driver, and the print queue.
If the copy also does not print, go straight to the article about common malfunctions or contact service.
Step 2. Check the USB connection
- Turn off the MFP.
- Disconnect the USB cable and reconnect it.
- Plug the cable into a different USB port on the computer.
- Do not use an extension cable or USB hub while checking printing.
- Turn the MFP back on.
After that, try printing one short document from Notepad.
Step 3. Check the print queue
- Open Start.
- In Windows 11, go to Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners.
- In Windows 10, go to Settings → Devices → Printers & scanners.
- Select your Pantum printer.
- Open the print queue.
- If there are old jobs there, delete them.
If the jobs cannot be removed or remain stuck, continue to the next step.
Step 4. Restart the Windows print service
- Press Win + R.
- Type services.msc and press Enter.
- Find the Print Spooler service.
- Right-click it and select Restart.
After restarting the service, open the print queue again and check whether the problem is gone.
Step 5. Manually remove stuck jobs if normal deletion did not help
- Open services.msc again.
- Stop the Print Spooler service.
- Open the folder C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS.
- Delete all files in that folder.
- Return to the Services window and start Print Spooler again.
Step 6. Check whether multiple Pantum printers were created
After several installation attempts, Windows may create multiple identical or similar devices. As a result, print jobs may be sent to the wrong one.
- Open the list of printers.
- See how many Pantum devices are listed.
- Remove the extra and unused instances.
- Leave one working printer and, if necessary, set it as the default printer.
Step 7. Remove the printer from Windows
- Open the printer list in Windows Settings.
- Select Pantum.
- Click Remove device.
After that, do not reconnect the MFP right away. First, remove the driver.
Step 8. Remove the Pantum driver
- Open Start.
- Go to All Programs or the list of installed applications.
- Open the Pantum folder.
- Select Pantum Series XXX.
- Click Uninstall.
- Wait for the uninstall process to finish.
- Restart the computer.
Step 9. Reconnect the MFP and install the driver
- Turn off the computer.
- Turn off the MFP.
- Connect the USB cable.
- Turn on the MFP.
- Then turn on the computer.
- Run the driver installation file.
- Select installation via USB.
- Wait for the installation to finish.
If Windows asks which device to trust, confirm the Pantum driver installation.
Step 10. Print a test page
After installation, first test printing from a simple application:
- Notepad
- WordPad
- a test page from the printer properties
Do not start testing with a large PDF file or a complex document. First, make sure that basic printing works.
If the job disappears but no page comes out
This usually means one of three things:
- the wrong printer instance is selected;
- a failure occurred in the Windows print queue;
- the driver is not fully installed or is installed incorrectly.
In that case, repeat steps 3–10 in order without skipping anything.
If printing fails only from one program
Check this separately:
- try printing the same file from another program;
- save the document as PDF and print it again;
- check whether a different printer is selected in that program.
If printing works from Notepad but not from one specific program, the problem is most likely no longer with the MFP or the driver, but with the program itself or its print settings.
When you need to contact service
- The MFP does not print even copies without a computer.
- An error appears on the device screen and does not disappear after restarting.
- After a full driver reinstall, the test page still does not print.
- A red indicator appears and the device does not return to normal status.
Quick summary
If a Pantum M6200 / M6500 / M6550 / M6600 series device scans but does not print in Windows 10 or Windows 11, the following sequence usually helps:
- check the USB cable and port;
- clear the print queue;
- restart Print Spooler;
- remove the printer and the old driver;
- restart the computer;
- reinstall the driver via USB;
- print a test page.
In most cases, this is enough to restore printing without contacting service.
