Different S101 versions use different keyboards, mice, and software.<\/div>\n<h2>Does Redragon S101M-KS need a driver?<\/h2>\n<p>A separate Redragon driver is not required for normal keyboard and mouse operation.<\/p>\n<p>When connected via USB, the 2.4 GHz wireless receiver, or Bluetooth, the operating system detects the devices and installs the standard system drivers automatically.<\/p>\n<p>The proprietary software is not required for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>normal text input;<\/li>\n<li>operation of the main mouse buttons;<\/li>\n<li>wired connection;<\/li>\n<li>2.4 GHz connection;<\/li>\n<li>Bluetooth connection;<\/li>\n<li>using built-in keyboard shortcuts;<\/li>\n<li>basic control of the keyboard&#8217;s RGB lighting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>If the keyboard and mouse already work in Windows, there is no need to search for or install an additional driver.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Is software available for S101M-KS?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Yes. Through the proprietary software, extended configuration up to <strong>7200 DPI<\/strong> is available.<\/p>\n<p>Specific intermediate values may differ between software versions, so if precise configuration is required, use the S101M-KS mouse software.<\/p>\n<p>If the standard sensitivity levels are sufficient, installing the software is optional.<\/p>\n<h2>Configuring the mouse polling rate and buttons<\/h2>\n<p>The proprietary mouse software allows you to change additional settings, including the supported polling rate and programmable button assignments.<\/p>\n<p>For S101M-KS, the following polling rates are specified:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>125 Hz;<\/li>\n<li>250 Hz;<\/li>\n<li>500 Hz;<\/li>\n<li>1000 Hz.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If the mouse works normally, there is no need to change the polling rate.<\/p>\n<h2>If the Redragon software does not detect the keyboard<\/h2>\n<p>Sometimes the official software may report that the keyboard is not connected even though the S101M-KS itself works normally in Windows.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure the installed software is specifically for <strong>S101M-KS Gaming Combo \u2014 Keyboard<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Connect the keyboard directly to the computer with a USB cable.<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong>FN + 5<\/strong> to select wired mode.<\/li>\n<li>Do not use a USB hub or docking station during testing.<\/li>\n<li>Try another USB port.<\/li>\n<li>Close the Redragon software and launch it again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div style=\"background: #fffbf0; border-left: 4px solid #ff9800; padding: 12px 15px; margin: 16px 0;\"><strong>If the keyboard works normally in Windows but the official software does not recognize it even with a wired connection, this does not necessarily mean there is a driver problem.<\/strong> There are known cases where the proprietary S101M-KS utility does not detect a working keyboard. Do not remove the standard HID driver just for the software. First check that you are using the correct utility version, a direct USB connection, and another USB port.<\/div>\n<h2>If the Redragon software does not detect the mouse<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure the installed software is specifically for <strong>S101M-KS Gaming Combo \u2014 Mice<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Do not use the keyboard software to configure the mouse.<\/li>\n<li>Connect the mouse directly to the computer with a USB cable.<\/li>\n<li>Close the Redragon software and launch it again.<\/li>\n<li>Try another USB port.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If the pointer moves and the main buttons work, failure to communicate with the proprietary software does not mean that the standard HID driver is missing.<\/p>\n<h2>If the keyboard or mouse does not work via 2.4 GHz<\/h2>\n<p>Because both devices use the shared USB receiver, first determine which device has lost the connection.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If neither the keyboard nor the mouse works, reconnect the shared USB receiver and try another USB port.<\/li>\n<li>If the mouse works but the keyboard does not, check the keyboard mode and, if necessary, re-pair it using <strong>FN + 4<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>If the keyboard works but the mouse does not, check the mouse mode switch.<\/li>\n<li>Fully charge both devices.<\/li>\n<li>For testing, connect the keyboard and mouse via USB.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If the device works normally via USB but does not work through the shared receiver, reinstalling the standard HID driver is usually not required. First check the connection mode, battery, receiver, and pairing.<\/p>\n<h2>If Bluetooth stops working<\/h2>\n<p>If the device previously connected via Bluetooth but no longer connects:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Remove the old device pairing in Windows Bluetooth settings.<\/li>\n<li>Turn the keyboard or mouse off and back on.<\/li>\n<li>Start pairing mode again.<\/li>\n<li>Add the device to Windows as a new device.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For the keyboard, press and hold the required combination: <strong>FN + 1<\/strong>, <strong>FN + 2<\/strong>, or <strong>FN + 3<\/strong>. Check the USB cable, connector, and the device itself.<\/p>\n<h2>Removing incompatible software in Windows 11<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>Settings \u2192 Apps \u2192 Installed apps<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Find the Redragon software.<\/li>\n<li>Open its menu and select <strong>Uninstall<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the uninstallation.<\/li>\n<li>Restart Windows.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Removing incompatible software in Windows 10<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>Settings \u2192 Apps \u2192 Apps &amp; features<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Find the Redragon software.<\/li>\n<li>Select it and click <strong>Uninstall<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the uninstallation.<\/li>\n<li>Restart Windows.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Uninstalling the proprietary software does not remove the standard Windows HID drivers.
