The cause is usually not the driver: the MFP still has the old network name and password stored in memory, the new router uses an incompatible security mode, or the device has received a different IP address.<\/p>\n<p>First, restore the connection between the MFP and the router. Only after that should you fix the print queue on the computer. Reinstalling the driver before a working network connection is established will not solve the problem.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #fffbf0; border-left: 5px solid #ff9800; margin: 20px 0; padding: 14px 18px;\">\n<p style=\"margin: 0 0 8px;\"><strong>Two limitations of this series<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0 0 8px;\">The MFP connects to a wireless network only through an access point or router \u2014 in infrastructure mode. A direct wireless connection between a computer or phone and the MFP is not supported.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0;\">Wired and wireless network connections cannot be used at the same time. Before configuring Wi-Fi, disconnect the Ethernet cable from the MFP&#8217;s network port.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Which models this guide applies to<\/h2>\n<p>Built-in wireless connectivity is available on the following models:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OKI MC342dw;<\/li>\n<li>OKI MC362w;<\/li>\n<li>OKI MC562w;<\/li>\n<li>OKI MC562dw;<\/li>\n<li>OKI ES5462dw MFP;<\/li>\n<li>OKI MPS2731mc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OKI MC332dn, MC342dn, MC352dn, MC362dn, MC562dn, ES3452 MFP and ES5462 MFP do not connect directly to Wi-Fi. They can be connected to the router with an Ethernet cable, after which computers and phones on the same local network can use the MFP.<\/p>\n<p>The menu item names below are given in English. If another language is selected on the control panel, use the corresponding items in the localized interface.<\/p>\n<h2>First determine at which stage the connection was lost<\/h2>\n<p>Do not enter the password again until you have checked the status of the wireless interface.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Turn on the MFP and wait for the ready screen.<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong>SETTING<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Open <strong>View Information \u2192 Network \u2192 Wireless Information<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Check the <strong>State<\/strong>, <strong>SSID<\/strong>, <strong>Security<\/strong>, <strong>Band<\/strong>, <strong>Channel<\/strong> and <strong>RSSI<\/strong> fields.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>State: Connected and the SSID is correct.<\/strong> The MFP is already connected to Wi-Fi. Proceed to checking the IP address. There is no need to configure the wireless network again.<\/li>\n<li><strong>State: Disconnected.<\/strong> Perform a wireless reconnection. If that does not help, configure WPS or enter the network settings manually.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The old network name is shown.<\/strong> Select the SSID of the new router and enter the new password.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The SSID field is empty or the required network is not listed.<\/strong> Check the router&#8217;s wireless mode, hidden SSID and signal strength.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>RSSI<\/strong> value indicates the strength of the received radio signal. If the MFP connects when it is near the router but loses the connection after being returned to its permanent location, the cause is usually a weak signal or interference rather than the password.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 1. Prepare the MFP and router<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the MFP. There is no need to disconnect cables from other devices.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure the router&#8217;s wireless network is enabled and that a phone can connect to it.<\/li>\n<li>Write down the exact network name \u2014 <strong>SSID<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Write down the Wi-Fi password. Passwords are case-sensitive: <code>Password<\/code> and <code>password<\/code> are different passwords.<\/li>\n<li>Move the MFP closer to the router for the initial setup. There should be no metal cabinet or several solid walls between them.<\/li>\n<li>If a Mesh network is used, perform the initial setup near the main router or the nearest node with a stable signal.<\/li>\n<li>Restart the router using its normal button or web interface and wait until the network is fully restored.<\/li>\n<li>Turn off the MFP using its normal power button, wait until shutdown is complete, and turn it on again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If the network name and password have not changed, first try to restore the saved connection:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"background: #f4f4f4; border: 1px solid #ddd; padding: 12px; white-space: pre-wrap; overflow-x: auto;\">SETTING \u2192 Wireless Setting \u2192 Wireless reconnection<\/pre>\n<p>Wait up to one minute and check <strong>Wireless Information \u2192 State<\/strong> again. If the connection is not restored, proceed to WPS or manual setup.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 2. Check the compatibility of the new router settings<\/h2>\n<p>The models covered here support IEEE 802.11b\/g\/n wireless standards and WEP, WPA with TKIP, and WPA2 with AES security modes. For a modern router, <strong>WPA2-Personal with AES encryption<\/strong> is recommended.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #fff1f0; border-left: 5px solid #d63638; margin: 20px 0; padding: 14px 18px;\">\n<p style=\"margin: 0 0 8px;\"><strong>Do not switch the network to WEP or WPA\/TKIP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0;\">These outdated modes are listed among the MFP&#8217;s capabilities, but they provide weak security. If the new router operates only with WPA3 and the MFP cannot connect, create a separate printer network using WPA2-Personal\/AES. Do not disable the Wi-Fi password for testing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Open the router settings and check the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Security mode:<\/strong> WPA2-Personal, WPA2-PSK or a compatible WPA2\/WPA3 mode. If mixed mode does not work, create a separate SSID using only WPA2-Personal\/AES.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wi-Fi standards:<\/strong> one of the networks must allow a compatible IEEE 802.11b\/g\/n mode. A mode intended only for newer Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7 clients may exclude an older device.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Band:<\/strong> if the main network is not displayed, enable a separate 2.4 GHz SSID with b\/g\/n support. This option provides compatibility with the standards supported by all of the wireless models covered here. Some regional variants of the device may also operate on another band.<\/li>\n<li><strong>SSID:<\/strong> the network must broadcast its name. A hidden network requires manual entry.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Guest network:<\/strong> do not use it if it prevents devices from communicating with each other.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Client isolation:<\/strong> disable <strong>AP Isolation<\/strong>, <strong>Client Isolation<\/strong> or a similar feature for the printer network.<\/li>\n<li><strong>MAC address filtering:<\/strong> add the MFP&#8217;s wireless MAC address to the list of allowed devices or temporarily disable filtering for testing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>DHCP:<\/strong> the server must be enabled and the pool of available addresses must not be exhausted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If the router uses one common name for both 2.4 and 5 GHz, first try a normal connection. Separate the bands only if the MFP cannot see the network or regularly loses it because of automatic band switching.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 3. Connect the MFP using the WPS button<\/h2>\n<p>Use WPS-PBC if the router has a dedicated WPS button or if this function can be enabled in its web interface.<\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #eef6ff; border-left: 5px solid #2271b1; margin: 20px 0; padding: 14px 18px;\">\n<p style=\"margin: 0;\"><strong>Do not confuse WPS with Reset.<\/strong> On some routers the buttons are combined, while on others reset is performed using a separate recessed button. Before pressing and holding a button, check the label on the router or its instructions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>On the MFP control panel, press <strong>SETTING<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Wireless Setting<\/strong> and press <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the current MFP administrator password.<\/li>\n<li>On older-generation devices with factory settings, the password may have been <code>aaaaaa<\/code>. If it does not work, use the password set during the initial setup. Do not perform a full reset simply because the password is unknown.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Automatic setup (WPS)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>WPS-PBC<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Yes<\/strong> to start the connection.<\/li>\n<li>Within two minutes, activate WPS on the router. If WPS is already active on the router, immediately confirm the start on the MFP.<\/li>\n<li>Do not press any control panel buttons while the access point is being searched for.<\/li>\n<li>Wait for the <strong>WPS connection successful<\/strong> message.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After a successful connection, a message may appear stating that wired communication is disabled. This is normal: Ethernet and Wi-Fi cannot operate simultaneously on this series.<\/p>\n<h3>Connection failed. Timeout error<\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>Connection failed. Timeout<\/strong> message means that the MFP did not find a suitable access point within the allotted time.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure WPS is actually enabled in the router settings.<\/li>\n<li>Move the MFP closer to the router.<\/li>\n<li>Start WPS on the router again.<\/li>\n<li>Within two minutes, repeat <strong>Wireless Setting \u2192 Automatic setup (WPS) \u2192 WPS-PBC \u2192 Yes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>If the error occurs again, do not continue endless WPS attempts. Configure the network manually.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Overlap error<\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>Overlap<\/strong> message appears if the MFP detects several access points with WPS active at the same time.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Stop WPS on additional routers, repeaters and Mesh nodes.<\/li>\n<li>Wait until the previous WPS registration window expires.<\/li>\n<li>Activate WPS only on the required access point.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat the connection.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Connecting using WPS-PIN<\/h3>\n<p>Use this method only if the router allows a wireless device to be registered using a PIN and WPS-PBC is unavailable.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>SETTING \u2192 Wireless Setting \u2192 Automatic setup (WPS)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>WPS-PIN<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Write down the eight-digit PIN shown on the MFP control panel.<\/li>\n<li>Open the router&#8217;s web interface and find the option for registering a client using a WPS PIN.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the MFP&#8217;s eight-digit code and start the connection.<\/li>\n<li>Wait for the <strong>WPS connection successful<\/strong> message.<\/li>\n<li>After setup is complete, disable WPS on the router if it is no longer needed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Step 4. Select the network and enter the password manually<\/h2>\n<p>Manual setup is preferable if WPS is disabled, unavailable or repeatedly ends with an error.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press <strong>SETTING<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Open <strong>Wireless Setting<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the MFP administrator password.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Wireless Network Selection<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Wait until the access point search is complete.<\/li>\n<li>Select the exact name of your network \u2014 <strong>SSID<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>If the control panel asks for a security mode, select the value that matches the router settings. For the recommended network, this is <strong>WPA2-PSK<\/strong> and <strong>AES<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the password in the <strong>WPA Pre-shared Key<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n<li>Before confirming, check letter case, numbers and special characters.<\/li>\n<li>Confirm the connection and wait for the check to complete.<\/li>\n<li>Open <strong>View Information \u2192 Network \u2192 Wireless Information<\/strong> and make sure <strong>State<\/strong> shows <strong>Connected<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If the password is difficult to enter on the control panel, do not shorten the main password and do not disable security. Create a separate network for the printer on the router with a clear SSID and a strong password using Latin letters and numbers. Use at least 12 characters.<\/p>\n<h3>Connecting to a hidden network<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>SETTING \u2192 Wireless Setting \u2192 Wireless Network Selection<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Manual Setup<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>SSID<\/strong> field, enter the full network name.<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Security<\/strong> field, specify the same security mode configured on the router.<\/li>\n<li>For WPA or WPA2, select the corresponding <strong>WPA Encryption Type<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the password in the <strong>WPA Pre-shared Key<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n<li>Confirm the settings and check the connection status.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The hidden network name is also case-sensitive. If manual entry repeatedly fails, temporarily enable SSID broadcasting, connect the MFP normally and only then hide the network again. Keep in mind that hiding the SSID by itself is not a substitute for strong encryption.<\/p>\n<h2>If the password is correct but the connection is not established<\/h2>\n<p>Check the possible causes in order:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure the selected SSID belongs to the new router, not a repeater or a neighboring network with a similar name.<\/li>\n<li>Check the password on a phone: remove the saved network, reconnect and enter the same password.<\/li>\n<li>Check letter case and make sure there is no accidental space at the beginning or end.<\/li>\n<li>Set the printer network to <strong>WPA2-Personal\/WPA2-PSK<\/strong> with <strong>AES<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Disable <strong>WPA3-only<\/strong> mode for this network. If mixed WPA2\/WPA3 mode also does not work, use a separate SSID with WPA2\/AES only.<\/li>\n<li>Enable a compatible IEEE 802.11b\/g\/n wireless mode.<\/li>\n<li>If the SSID is not visible, enable a separate 2.4 GHz network and repeat the search.<\/li>\n<li>Check whether the new device is blocked by MAC address filtering or an access control feature.<\/li>\n<li>Check whether free addresses are available in the DHCP pool.<\/li>\n<li>Temporarily move the MFP closer to the router and try the connection again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After each change, wait until the router&#8217;s wireless network has fully restarted. Changing several settings at the same time makes it difficult to determine the cause.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 5. Check the IP address after connecting<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Connected<\/strong> message confirms the wireless connection, but the MFP also needs a valid IP address for printing.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>On the control panel, press <strong>SETTING<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Open <strong>View Information \u2192 Network \u2192 Network Information \u2192 IPv4 Address<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Write down the address, for example <code>192.168.1.40<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li>If necessary, print a network report: <strong>SETTING \u2192 Reports \u2192 Network Information \u2192 Yes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>An address such as 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x.<\/strong> The MFP has usually received a valid address from the router.<\/li>\n<li><strong>0.0.0.0 or an empty field.<\/strong> No IP address has been assigned. Check DHCP and reconnect.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The address begins with 169.254.<\/strong> The MFP did not receive a response from the DHCP server and assigned itself a temporary local address.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Check access to the MFP from a computer<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Connect the computer to the same local network. It may use Wi-Fi or Ethernet.<\/li>\n<li>Do not use a guest network.<\/li>\n<li>Temporarily pause the VPN for testing if it blocks access to local addresses.<\/li>\n<li>Open a browser.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the MFP address, for example:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<pre style=\"background: #f4f4f4; border: 1px solid #ddd; padding: 12px; white-space: pre-wrap; overflow-x: auto;\">http:\/\/192.168.1.40<\/pre>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The OKI web page opens.<\/strong> The network connection is working. If printing still does not work, correct the printer port address on the computer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The page does not open.<\/strong> Check the IP address, guest network, client isolation, VPN and router firewall settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Step 6. Correct the printer address in Windows 11<\/h2>\n<p>After replacing the router, the MFP often receives a new IP address. Windows continues to send jobs to the old address and shows the printer as <strong>Offline<\/strong> even though Wi-Fi on the MFP has already been restored.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>Start \u2192 Settings \u2192 Bluetooth &amp; devices \u2192 Printers &amp; scanners<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the queue for your OKI model.<\/li>\n<li>Open <strong>Printer properties<\/strong>. Do not confuse it with <strong>Printing preferences<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the <strong>Ports<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n<li>Find the port with the selected check box.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If <strong>Standard TCP\/IP Port<\/strong> is selected:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click <strong>Configure Port<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Printer Name or IP Address<\/strong> field, enter the new MFP address.<\/li>\n<li>Save the settings.<\/li>\n<li>On the <strong>General<\/strong> tab, click <strong>Print Test Page<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If a <strong>WSD<\/strong> port is selected or the old address cannot be changed:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>On the <strong>Ports<\/strong> tab, click <strong>Add Port<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Standard TCP\/IP Port<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>New Port<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the new MFP IP address.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the wizard. Standard network printing uses the <strong>RAW<\/strong> protocol and port <code>9100<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the check box next to the new port and click <strong>Apply<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Print a test page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Do not remove the old queue until a test page has printed successfully through the new port.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 7. Correct the printer address in Windows 10<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>Start \u2192 Settings \u2192 Devices \u2192 Printers &amp; scanners<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the OKI and click <strong>Manage<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Open <strong>Printer properties<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the <strong>Ports<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n<li>If <strong>Standard TCP\/IP Port<\/strong> is used, click <strong>Configure Port<\/strong> and replace the old IP address with the new one.<\/li>\n<li>If WSD is used, click <strong>Add Port \u2192 Standard TCP\/IP Port \u2192 New Port<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the MFP IP address, complete the wizard and select the newly created port.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Apply<\/strong> and print a test page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If several identical OKI queues are installed in Windows, identify the working one by printing a test page. After that, remove only the outdated duplicates.<\/p>\n<h2>Reserve the IP address so the problem does not recur<\/h2>\n<p>The safest method is to create a DHCP reservation on the router. The MFP will continue to receive its settings automatically, but the router will always assign it the same address.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>View Information \u2192 Network \u2192 Network Information \u2192 MAC Address<\/strong> or print the <strong>Network Information<\/strong> report and write down the MAC address of the network interface being used.<\/li>\n<li>Sign in to the router&#8217;s web interface.<\/li>\n<li>Open <strong>DHCP Reservation<\/strong>, <strong>Address Reservation<\/strong>, <strong>Static Lease<\/strong> or a similar section.<\/li>\n<li>Select the MFP by its name or MAC address.<\/li>\n<li>Reserve its current IP address.<\/li>\n<li>Save the settings and restart the MFP.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure the address has not changed and that test printing still works.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Do not assign an arbitrary static IP address on the control panel if you do not know the router address, subnet mask and DHCP range being used. An incorrect setting may create an address conflict with another device.<\/p>\n<h2>If the MFP disappears from the network after entering sleep mode<\/h2>\n<p>When Wi-Fi is used, the connection on this series may temporarily disconnect in sleep mode. After waking, the MFP automatically reconnects to the same access point, but recovery may take up to one minute.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Press the <strong>POWER SAVE<\/strong> button on the control panel.<\/li>\n<li>Wait until the MFP has fully exited sleep mode.<\/li>\n<li>Wait up to one minute.<\/li>\n<li>Open <strong>View Information \u2192 Network \u2192 Wireless Information<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure <strong>State<\/strong> changes back to <strong>Connected<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Try printing again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Normal wake-up from sleep should not require the SSID and password to be entered again. If the password must be entered after every sleep cycle, check signal strength, WPA2\/AES, DHCP and Mesh network settings.<\/p>\n<p>For testing, you can temporarily increase the time before the MFP enters sleep mode. If the disconnections stop, restore a reasonable sleep time and correct the signal or automatic reconnection problem. Do not leave power saving disabled unnecessarily.<\/p>\n<h2>If Wi-Fi disconnects after several hours or days<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Immediately after the disconnection, check <strong>Wireless Information \u2192 State<\/strong> and <strong>RSSI<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong>POWER SAVE<\/strong> and wait one minute to rule out normal wake-up from sleep.<\/li>\n<li>Run <strong>Wireless Setting \u2192 Wireless reconnection<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Check whether the MFP IP address changes after each router restart.<\/li>\n<li>Create a DHCP reservation.<\/li>\n<li>If the router automatically combines bands and moves clients between them, create a separate compatible SSID for the printer.<\/li>\n<li>Check whether the MFP is connecting to a weak Mesh node or repeater using the same SSID.<\/li>\n<li>Move the device closer to the access point or change the router location.<\/li>\n<li>Check for router firmware updates.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Update the MFP firmware only after checking the network and only with a file intended for the exact model and region. Stable power and a reliable connection are required during the update; firmware updating should not be used as the first solution for a normal password error.<\/p>\n<h2>Connecting a Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android device after changing the network<\/h2>\n<h3>macOS<\/h3>\n<p>If the Mac continues to use the old address:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>System Settings \u2192 Printers &amp; Scanners<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the old OKI queue and note the selected driver if it is important for additional features.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the non-working queue.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>First select the detected device using <strong>AirPrint<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>If automatic discovery does not work, open the <strong>IP<\/strong> tab, enter the new address and select <strong>HP Jetdirect \u2013 Socket<\/strong> or the appropriate AirPrint option.<\/li>\n<li>Add the device and perform a test print.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>iPhone and iPad<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Connect the mobile device to the same main network as the MFP.<\/li>\n<li>Do not use guest Wi-Fi and temporarily pause the VPN for testing.<\/li>\n<li>Wait a few minutes after connecting the MFP.<\/li>\n<li>Open the document, select <strong>Print<\/strong> and search for the AirPrint printer again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If the MFP web page opens by IP address but AirPrint does not find the printer, check whether the router is blocking Bonjour\/mDNS between wireless clients.<\/p>\n<h3>Android<\/h3>\n<p>If OKI Mobile Print was configured with the old IP address, remove the old registration and add the MFP again using the new address. The phone and MFP must be on the same local network, and client isolation must be disabled.<\/p>\n<h2>Reset network settings only as a last resort<\/h2>\n<p>A reset is needed if the MFP stores an incorrect configuration and does not allow it to be replaced normally. For a Wi-Fi problem, first use wireless reconnection, WPS, manual network selection and a network settings reset.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Temporary connection using an Ethernet cable<\/h2>\n<p>If the wireless connection cannot be restored immediately, the MFP can be temporarily connected to the router by cable:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>On the control panel, select <strong>Enabling Wired Communications<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Confirm that wired networking should be enabled.<\/li>\n<li>Connect an Ethernet cable between the MFP and the router.<\/li>\n<li>Wait until an IP address is assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Check the address through <strong>View Information \u2192 Network<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Correct the printer port on the computer if the address has changed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The computer can remain connected over Wi-Fi. The limitation applies only to the MFP itself: its wired and wireless network interfaces cannot be used simultaneously.<\/p>\n<h2>When a wireless module fault is likely<\/h2>\n<p>Hardware diagnostics are justified if all of the following conditions are met:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the exact model actually has built-in Wi-Fi;<\/li>\n<li>the Ethernet cable is disconnected;<\/li>\n<li>the MFP is located near a working router;<\/li>\n<li>a visible network has been created using WPA2-Personal\/AES and a compatible b\/g\/n mode;<\/li>\n<li>other devices can see and connect to this network;<\/li>\n<li>the MFP cannot detect any access point or the wireless interface constantly reports an error;<\/li>\n<li>resetting the network settings and configuring the connection again does not change the situation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Before contacting service, test operation over Ethernet.
