It states that the program will install MP Drivers on the computer.<\/p>\n<p>During the verified installation on Windows 10, Russian was selected automatically.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure that the USB cable is still disconnected from the computer.<\/li>\n<li>If the window is displayed in English, click <strong>Next &gt;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>If another language is selected, click <strong>Language<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the required language.<\/li>\n<li>Confirm your selection and return to the <strong>\u201cWelcome\u201d<\/strong> window.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Next &gt;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>At this stage, you do not need to manually select the multifunction printer model, country, or connection method.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 5. Accept the license agreement<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>\u201cLicense Agreement\u201d<\/strong> window will open on the next screen.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Read the Canon software terms of use if necessary.<\/li>\n<li>To continue, click <strong>Yes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you click <strong>No<\/strong>, the program will close and the drivers will not be installed.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 6. Wait for the \u201cConnect Cable\u201d window<\/h2>\n<p>After you accept the license agreement, the program will begin copying and registering the required files.<\/p>\n<p>During this stage:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>do not connect the USB cable too early;<\/li>\n<li>do not close the installer;<\/li>\n<li>do not turn off the computer;<\/li>\n<li>do not run another printer installation program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After a while, the <strong>\u201cConnect Cable\u201d<\/strong> window will appear on the screen.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 7. Connect the multifunction printer to the computer<\/h2>\n<p>In the <strong>\u201cConnect Cable\u201d<\/strong> window, the program will ask you to connect the multifunction printer to the computer using a USB cable and then turn on the device.<\/p>\n<p>Complete the steps in the following order:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Connect the almost square USB cable connector to the port on the back of the multifunction printer.<\/li>\n<li>Connect the flat connector directly to a USB port on the computer.<\/li>\n<li>Do not use a USB hub, docking station, monitor, or splitter.<\/li>\n<li>Press the power button on the multifunction printer.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that the green power indicator lights up.<\/li>\n<li>Wait for the program to detect the connected device.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Detection may take several minutes. Close the program, restart the computer, and start the installation again.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>If the installer does not detect the multifunction printer<\/h2>\n<p>If the <strong>\u201cConnect Cable\u201d<\/strong> window remains on the screen for more than several minutes, complete the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Make sure that the multifunction printer is turned on.<\/li>\n<li>Check whether the orange error indicator is flashing.<\/li>\n<li>Insert the USB cable firmly into the multifunction printer\u2019s port.<\/li>\n<li>Disconnect the flat end of the cable from the computer.<\/li>\n<li>Wait approximately 10 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Connect the cable to another USB port.<\/li>\n<li>If you are using a desktop computer, try a port on the back of the computer case.<\/li>\n<li>Do not connect the multifunction printer through a USB hub or extension cable.<\/li>\n<li>If another working printer cable is available, try replacing the cable.<\/li>\n<li>After reconnecting the device, wait another few minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If the device is still not detected:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click <strong>Cancel<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Close the installer.<\/li>\n<li>Turn off the multifunction printer.<\/li>\n<li>Disconnect the USB cable.<\/li>\n<li>Restart the computer.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat the installation from the beginning.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Step 8. Do not select the regular <strong>Properties<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n<li>On the <strong>General<\/strong> tab, click <strong>Print Test Page<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If the test page prints, the printer driver is working correctly.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 11.
