Check whether the device prints without a computer<\/h2>\n<p>Make a regular copy from the MFP control panel. If the copy prints, the print engine, paper feed, and cartridge are most likely fine. In this case, you need to check Windows, the driver, and the print queue.<\/p>\n<p>If the copy also does not print, go straight to the article about common malfunctions or contact service.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 2. Check the USB connection<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Turn off the MFP.<\/li>\n<li>Disconnect the USB cable and reconnect it.<\/li>\n<li>Plug the cable into a different USB port on the computer.<\/li>\n<li>Do not use an extension cable or USB hub while checking printing.<\/li>\n<li>Turn the MFP back on.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After that, try printing one short document from Notepad.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 3. Restart the Windows print service<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Press <strong>Win + R<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Type <strong>services.msc<\/strong> and press <strong>Enter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Find the <strong>Print Spooler<\/strong> service.<\/li>\n<li>Right-click it and select <strong>Restart<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After restarting the service, open the print queue again and check whether the problem is gone.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 5. Manually remove stuck jobs if normal deletion did not help<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>services.msc<\/strong> again.<\/li>\n<li>Stop the <strong>Print Spooler<\/strong> service.<\/li>\n<li>Open the folder <strong>C:\\Windows\\System32\\spool\\PRINTERS<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Delete all files in that folder.<\/li>\n<li>Return to the Services window and start <strong>Print Spooler<\/strong> again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Step 6. Check whether multiple Pantum printers were created<\/h2>\n<p>After several installation attempts, Windows may create multiple identical or similar devices. As a result, print jobs may be sent to the wrong one.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the list of printers.<\/li>\n<li>See how many Pantum devices are listed.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the extra and unused instances.<\/li>\n<li>Leave one working printer and, if necessary, set it as the default printer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Step 7. Remove the printer from Windows<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the printer list in Windows Settings.<\/li>\n<li>Select Pantum.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Remove device<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After that, do not reconnect the MFP right away. First, remove the driver.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 8. Remove the Pantum driver<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>Start<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong>All Programs<\/strong> or the list of installed applications.<\/li>\n<li>Open the <strong>Pantum<\/strong> folder.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Pantum Series XXX<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Uninstall<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Wait for the uninstall process to finish.<\/li>\n<li>Restart the computer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Step 9. Reconnect the MFP and install the driver<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Turn off the computer.<\/li>\n<li>Turn off the MFP.<\/li>\n<li>Connect the USB cable.<\/li>\n<li>Turn on the MFP.<\/li>\n<li>Then turn on the computer.<\/li>\n<li>Run the driver installation file.<\/li>\n<li>Select installation via <strong>USB<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Wait for the installation to finish.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If Windows asks which device to trust, confirm the Pantum driver installation.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 10. Print a test page<\/h2>\n<p>After installation, first test printing from a simple application:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Notepad<\/li>\n<li>WordPad<\/li>\n<li>a test page from the printer properties<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Do not start testing with a large PDF file or a complex document.
