What you need<\/strong><\/p>\n

Driver file (64-bit): LBP5000_R150_V331_W64_uk_EN_1.exe<\/p>\n

Step-by-step installation (Windows 11)<\/h2>\n

1) Extract the driver<\/strong><\/p>\n

Open that folder and confirm you can see: \u2026\\Driver\\CNAC4STD.INF.

Plug the LBP5000 into your PC with USB. Turn the printer On and wait ~10\u201320 seconds.

\nIf Windows shows \u201cDriver unavailable,\u201d continue \u2014 the steps below will fix it.<\/p>\n

3) Open the classic Add-Printer wizard<\/strong><\/p>\n

Press Win + R, type control<\/strong>, press Enter to open Control Panel.

4) Choose manual setup<\/strong><\/p>\n

Select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings \u2192 Next.<\/p>\n

On Choose a printer port, select Use an existing port \u2192 pick USB001 (Virtual printer port for USB) \u2192 Next.<\/p>\n

(If printing doesn\u2019t work later, you can switch to USB002 in Printer Properties \u2192 Ports.)<\/p>\n

5) Install the Canon driver with Have Disk<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Install the printer driver, click Have Disk\u2026 \u2192 Browse\u2026.<\/p>\n

Navigate to the extracted folder and select: \u2026\\Driver\\CNAC4STD.INF \u2192 Open \u2192 OK.<\/p>\n

Choose Canon LBP5000 (CAPT) when it appears \u2192 Next.<\/p>\n

If asked to replace an existing driver, choose Replace the current driver \u2192 Next.<\/p>\n

Name the printer (e.g., Canon LBP5000) \u2192 Next \u2192 Finish.<\/p>\n

Quick fixes (only if it doesn\u2019t print first try)<\/h2>\n

No print \/ \u201cOffline\u201d:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Right-click the printer \u2192 Printer properties \u2192 Ports \u2192 switch between USB001 and USB002 \u2192 Apply \u2192 test again.<\/p>\n

Model not listed when browsing:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Make sure you selected CNAC4STD.INF inside the \u2026\\Driver\\ folder.<\/p>\n

Print Spooler hiccup:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Press Win + R \u2192 type services.msc \u2192 Enter \u2192 double-click Print Spooler \u2192 Restart \u2192 try a test page.<\/p>\n

Why we recommend only this method<\/strong><\/p>\n

Right-clicking an .INF file to \u201cInstall\u201d may add files to Windows, but it often doesn\u2019t link the CAPT driver to the correct USB virtual port on Windows 11. The Have Disk method above sets everything up properly in one pass and is the most reliable approach for this printer.<\/p>\n

Your Canon LBP5000 should now work normally on Windows 11 using the Windows 10 driver.<\/p>\n
