That\u2019s normal: inside you\u2019ll find the driver in <strong>.INF<\/strong> format, which you install using standard Windows tools.<\/p>\n<h2>1) Where to download the drivers (official Xerox pages)<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Xerox Global Print Driver (PS and PCL6)<\/strong> \u2014 downloads page:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.support.xerox.com\/en-us\/product\/global-printer-driver\/downloads\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.support.xerox.com\/en-us\/product\/global-printer-driver\/downloads<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Which driver to choose: PS or PCL6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the Xerox page, there are two printer driver options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>UNIV_5.1076.3.0_PS_x64.zip<\/strong> \u2014 PostScript (PS) driver<\/li>\n<li><strong>UNIV_5.1076.3.0_PCL6_x64.zip<\/strong> \u2014 PCL6 driver<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Recommendation for most users:<\/strong> choose <strong>PS<\/strong>. It is often more stable for printing PDFs, complex layouts, and documents with fonts.<br \/>\n<strong>When PCL6 is better:<\/strong> if you mostly print from Word\/Excel and\/or if you run into issues after installing PS (print jobs hang, odd job processing, etc.), try PCL6.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Why there is no .exe in the archive and what\u2019s inside<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is no installer because this is a \u201cdriver package\u201d for manual installation. You install it via the <strong>.INF<\/strong> file:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PS:<\/strong> <strong>x3UNIVP.inf<\/strong> (inside the extracted folder)<\/li>\n<li><strong>PCL6:<\/strong> <strong>x3UNIVX.inf<\/strong> (inside the extracted folder)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If file extensions (such as .INF) are hidden and you can\u2019t find x3UNIVP.inf or x3UNIVX.inf, look for a file named x3UNIVP or x3UNIVX. It\u2019s the same file\u2014Windows may have \u201cFile name extensions\u201d turned off.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Preparation before installation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download the required archive (PS or PCL6) from the official Xerox page.<\/li>\n<li>Extract the ZIP to a simple folder.<\/li>\n<li>Choose the connection method: USB or network.
